Would you allow me to use some of the HR-616 footage? I'm a HUGE fan of these.
Nice video! Do you have the name of the tune in the beginning of the video?
29:32 rip headphone users
Awesome Video
The ship @16:24 is the Nindawayma
Love the music its stuck in my head when I think about anything old!
what amazing vintage images !! It brings back many memories. I want to thank you for subscribing to frog and flange recently. James.
West Tennessee Railroad had 3 of the MLW Alco engines. One got totaled in a derailment in Sharon, TN. I’m not sure if they still have the other two or not. I got to ride in one of them back in 2007, from Dyer, TN to Humboldt, TN.
How many of these are still around ?
Great video ! This older footage is the best, especially from the 90's. Nice motive power and those freight cars back then were mostly graffiti free. Good ole days.
Great video, an entire train of lumber, holy sht thats an unfathomable amount of lumber what a catch. subbed, lovin the vids from nj us
Awesome Video
Good video 👍
Awesome Video
Awesome Catches
Thank you !
Never thought I’d miss hearing them chugga-chugga-chugga down the rails. Thanks for documenting them in action.
Many great memories. Thanks.

I have one in scale 4 ft long for my grandson sure wish I could post a picture I put his birthday for the road # 2018 😊
Fabulous footage
Very cool 43:41
Do you know what colour FRED/EOT CN used in this time period?
Can't say for sure ?
1:03:41 Very nice Hybrid K5HLA Horn
nice vid
Canadian pacific 5417 is now Ontario Northland 1740
What's the name of the music you use in these vids?
Not sure what it's called. It came with Smart Sound. Part of the Pinnacle software I was using at the time.
Huzzah!
Nice collection of footage! Really enjoyed that. I have been to many of those locations myself. I was surprised to not see one of the old RS-18 Tempo Paint CN Locos that used to run between Toronto and Windsor.
I was too late for the Tempo's as well as the FPA4's
Any idea what kind of locomotives those are at 18:54?
Those would be GP20D units
I was hoping to see some pre woke “rail way crossing”cross bucks, saw 2 but I guess they were gone in the 80s
2:52 was really cool
That's when watching trains a was a thing . Now it's a Mile long consist of graffiti tagged hoppers
I always found it odd that there are very few steam era photos of this very busy mainline except a few taken in the don valley and a couple at oriole. The uxbridge subdivision has way more photos and a lot less action at that time
I remember seeing no.451 holding the main at pefferlaw while the northlander went in the hole always at around 4:30 pm for years this meet would happen. Memories
great catches , were the 2 coal trains the start of the 152 car era ???
Probably
@@RailtimeMedia 2012 is when CP seemed to start really changing trains and increased lengths kicked in and when the 8900/9300s were actually clean 🤣
Brings back memories of pefferlaw where I grew up with the bala sub
The west coast express? That’s a BC commuter train. Why is it in Ontario?
I'd assume passing through from the builder to final destination in BC ?
I would always wonder what CN stood for. I would see all of their boxcars in the U.S.
Canadian National
Your channel is a true treasure trove of Canadian railroading, thanks for another 10/10 upload.
Thanks a lot !
Great series ☺️
any information on the CN beeton sub from georgetown to barrie?
Sorry, no. I never got out that way when it was active.
Awesome video, excellent era of CP, brings me back🌶🌶🔥🔥
Awesome vid of a great era of CP🌶🌶🌶
I know that CN locomotives don't have dynamic brakes, except someSD40-2's. As a retired engineer, I can't believe the engine brake shoe smoke shown in some of these scenes.
Yes, it was quite alarming to see the brakes getting that hot coming of the Dundas sub. Would have been a bit unnerving for the crew.
@@RailtimeMedia We engineers would get in trouble for using engine brakes like that. Thanks for your reply.
Using your engine brakes above 15 mph is a nono Your risking skidded wheels as well as thermal cracks Years ago student engineers coming out of Gimli Manitoba were beening instructed to use their engine brakes to try and control their train speeds as not to use their train brakes in order to save fuel It didn't take long before equipment started to need repairs Once the energy crises hit Dynamic brakes became the normal on CN
@@thomasklimchuk441 Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it a lot, Gordon.
2000’s CP in classic locations... what else could you ask for?🔥🔥🔥Awesome video🌶🌶🌶
Great stuff. Are you able to do anymore uploads from the southern Niagara area?
Thanks Matt. I've already uploaded everything I have from the Niagara area. Check out the CN and CP in Southwestern Ontario videos !

What train is this?
Which train are you referring to ?
@@RailtimeMedia first one.
@@grandriverrailfan6088 I'd be guessing it was the London pick up by I didn't keep any notes at the time ?
@@RailtimeMedia did it have intermodal on it?
@@RailtimeMedia sorry I meant the second one
