It's kinda funny how the hoot of a female Great Horned owl almost sounds like a squealing cat. I don't know why, but that's what it sounds like to me. I've actually heard a few female Great Horned Owls hooting in the woods while hiking on a local trail some nights ago. And when I mimicked the call of a male, the females responded. But they weren't alone, because I could hear the sound of some male owls hooting in the distance
I let the cat outside at night and heard this sound. it's was a very long haunting sound almost like a human. I heard a loud call and ran out thinking it was a human at first. I realized it must be an owl and took the cat in before it became late night dinner.
Ascending is the Male ..Female is the 2 stage call.
I could hear her coming closer
Other owls: hoot. Barn Owls: sound like an Aztec Death Whistle
Beautiful owl 🦉 and it’s beautiful sounds
So Beautiful 😍

Any method of getting rid of these things?
“I told you to let me share the Netflix Password!” “Netflix doesn’t want us to! I know it’s unfair!” - Owls main argument in this video.

I’m listening to two of these owls calling back at forth to each other at 2:30 am in Florida.

You can make the sound of boobook owl?
I've been hearing these every night for some weeks now! Two of the family died, sadly (one of starvation!), but two owlets and one parent remain and I'm so glad they're here. 🥰
I've been hearing this unique sounding bird call periodically outside my window here in Durham for a few years. The first time i heard it i was mortified not knowing what type of creature was lurking outside. And, I really didn't really know where to turn to identify the source of the caterwauling. CZcams to the rescue once again! Thanks to your video i now believe i've been hearing the calls of Barred Owls; i initially thought they were Horned Owls. I live near an intersection of the American Tobacco Trail (a densely wooded area) and so i'm guessing that these critters live generally throughout this area. I would love to see one, but i guess chances are limited given their nocturnal tendencies.
❤
Currently having a conversation with a Barred Owl across the field in Kentucky 😂
This is what I hear at times throughout the day. Including the spring peepers in the background.
Sounds like something that is chewing on a rubber duck, but what's happening is inside the owl, lol.
Translation: Where is the nearest hooters.
Are you able to define owl type by voice? I can send you video and photo of the owl near my house.
Morris code bird!
Love hearing these little fellas !
The man's really like, "Yoooooo! Let's gooooo!"
A truly melodic sound which only consists of the single note
I’ve finally found it!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I’ve recently been hearing this sound in Bromley, UK and in hearing it from midnight today I’ve been determined to figure out what bird I’m hearing. I’ve been searching the internet for two hours and I’ve finally found it. 😂😅 I can get on with my life now. 🙌🏾
The same here! Wasn’t able to find elsewhere on the net (I usually use Merlin sound id). I’m in southern Italy. In the mountains . I love this sound and was so fascinated. But is sings only in the afternoon and there are too cars and people and it’s al hard to record
