I've created this site to share my experiences photographing Red-tailed Hawks and other wildlife in Central Park and Greater New York City.
In 2005, my first year of birding, I photographed over 100 species of birds in Central Park and create a small website. I was also able to document and self-publish a book about the Trump Parc Hawks and their two offspring.
Now that I'm hooked on hawk and bird watching in Central Park, I thought readers might enjoy following along as I discover the hawks and other wildlife in park from week to week.

Chilling
Very lovely, and one's been tagged! Curious to know who the non-Monarch characters are (tiny long insects and small brown butterfly). Is that an aster flower? Shot in CP? So many questions. Thanks for sharing.
I use CZcams to host my blog video. For answers to most questions about the videos, just go to my blog, urbanhawks.com

This is a Hawks?
Yes, Just go to my blog, urban hawks.com for context.
@@dbyolton I know your page. I just wanted to know what kind of hawks they were in your video ...
It looks sick
Not sick at all. Typical for a bat waking up.
@@dbyolton (this is late but) In march? It's still winter at that time. I think.. even if it isn't, at that time of year it's usually too cold! Are you sure that bat didn't have white nose syndrome?
@@Captain_Ravioli7321 It wasn't sick. It was just fine. There was another Silver-haired Bat nearby. White-nose syndrome has not been much of a problem for Silver-haired bats, btw.
@@dbyolton Oh pheww.
Are the two birds brooding? I mean, because they are very attentive.
Just go to my blog, urbanhawks.com for the details. I use CZcams to host videos for the blog.
Do these birds occupy West Virginia and Maryland? I would like to be in touch with someone about this. Thanks! Lou n9kc88@gmail.com
Lou Eckert yes.
¿Qué nombre tienen estas aves? Me refiero al nombre científico o común.
Red-tailed Hawk, Buteo jamaicensis
i think you meant 2019 on description. Happy new year!
Thank you, corrected. Let's me make sure I don't write checks that way!
Two BEAUTIFUL Buteos!
Beautiful juvenile hawk! Is this one of Pale Male’s juvies?
Unlikely, they're long gone. This is most likely a bird from further north passing through.
Is this the famous Central Park mandarin duck?
Yes
