Capitol peak to Snowmass direct AKA "Satans Ridge" plus Hagerman traverse

Climbed Capitol via the standard route from west Sowmass creek, Soloed "Satans Ridge" staying direct all the way through the gendarme section to Snowmass, left Snowmass at 9 hours 30 minutes and climbed the Hagerman traverse arriving at the summit of Hagerman at 10 hours 15 minutes. Descended the South ridge of Hagerman to Trailrider pass and ran out Snowmass creek. 14 hours 54 minutes car to car.

This is the absolute scariest ridge in the state…so committing. Back in the 70’s we all knew it would never be traversed.
Very nice well done. The distortion is awful though. In your vid going across the knife edge section, the sequences looking west to the summit is so distorted that it makes the NF look like the Grandes Jorasses. It's nowhere near that steep. i've climbed the NF of Capitol a few times and descended the ke. I wish it was that steep but it isn't. The distortion also makes the ke look more formidable than it is.

I have done a few steepers in my day. But you feller tale excessive risk of injury and death to "ski:" the absolute worst conditions over virtually unskiable terrain. It actually doesn't look like that much fun! Thanks anyway!
