Finally some off-road trails. The smugglers' trail or tobacco trail has been on my list for a long time. Enjoyable ride, not too difficult not too technical, and accessible to most bikes. Really pleased with the weather, the landscapes are truly stunning. Couldn't stop myself from stopping and taking too many photos. What are you using for navigation please? Thank you.
Wow, What a great trip, the views are spectacular, I have binged watched these episodes and you have put together great episodes of your trip/adventure. I have been thinking about doing a trip like this for ages and you have now made me realise I should just go do it. May I ask how do you find/research the off road sections (TET)? I could spend days in area's like that just taking photos😍 The sceneray is just breathtaking. is there still a video on the section from Andorra to Espinama? as I couldnt see this section or have I missed something? Well thank you for sharing I have enjoyed your adventure very much.
Hi There Thank you for watching. Would highly recommend doing similar trip, well worth it. Re. Route, You could find some guidance on TET Spain website, I think there should be downloadable gpx files I did only those gravel section I have heard of before and accessible to my bike . But to be honest the Picos are stunning and pyrenees endless, full of fantastic roads and views Apart from having a very few points of interest I was traveling without a rigid plan
Thanks for the beautyful ride :-) I have enjoyed every video on youre trip too Spain and it was a fantastic tour:-) Thanks for shearing !

How are the tyres doing? is the grip on gravel worth what you lose in road grip and increased noise level over the Road 5? thanks
Hi ,over all happy with these tyres Now I have more confidence going on light off road/ gravel I don't think you loose much on pavement, these tyres actually are pretty good even on wet. The only problem was the noise ,which after couple of thousand miles either diminished or I got used to .Just came back from Pyrenees and Picos and tyres did great job on various types of roads and conditions. Would definitely recommend it
@@piandthewheels thanks, bit worried about vibration maybe from the anakee adventure., doubt I'd hear any noise from them with everything else going on.
I swapped over and am very happy with them.I’ve just come back from a few days travelling over Exmoor and Dartmoor ( 1k miles) I agree that they are noisier than Road 6s particularly when cornering but I can live with that .I felt they gave great grip on single track lane’s especially those with loose gravel.
Hi,I'm looking swap out my Road 6 to Anakee after a number of punctures/nails which meant the tyres could not be repaired due to their speed rating and its cisting ne a packet.I dont do off roading just small gravel eoads but mainly tarmac. What is your long term view on the Anakees performance. Thanks Richard ( Bristol 500CBX 2017 model)
Changing from road 6 to anakee adventure myself.
I swapped roads 5 for anakee, and happy with my choice, suits my style of riding Just did 2k miles trip to pyrenees and Picos ( mixed terrain and conditions) these tyres performed faultlesly
@@piandthewheels Thanks guys, going to give them a try.
Hi,thank you for watching. We had a great time cruising around the island on the scooter. Definitely the best way of exploring Corfu 🇬🇷🌞👍
Hi. 🙋🏻♂️ A rare high quality video shot in Corfu I felt very happy while watching your video I remembered the days when I spent holidays there with my family. I also wanted to tour the streets of CORFU❤ on a motorcycle, but I couldn't do it because I didn't have a driver's license. I will go there again this summer and explore the streets with an e-scotter.
That was a little nerve wracking to watch. A great single track trail but gets pretty technical in spots, especially when raining. Glad you got through in one piece!
Hi ,Thank you for watching. Yes tracks were very challenging at the time, especially in wet conditions We were pushed out of the comfort zone by the instructors Overall an excellent experience ,highly recommended 👍
If you don't mind a question, did you get exhausted by doing all that? I've signed up for a 4 day guided trail trip, hopefully not as technical as that and I feel I may not have the leg strength and cardio to make it through. I've started doing some exercises but being close to 60 I wonder if it's going to do any good. @@piandthewheels
Hi, I'm happy to answer any questions. That were a tough two days of riding as I had no previous experience of riding such a heavy bike in such a demanding terrain. I was tired more mentally rather than physically. (Being so tense whole time perhaps, costed me more mental effort then it would an experienced rider.) My physical conditioning is slightly above the avarage as I exercise on the regular basis(and work as a PT), so physically I was fine. We had regular breaks for snacks and drink(very important to stay hydrated etc) Regardless of the difficulties of your upcoming trip I would recommend investing some time in improving physical conditioning. Four days in the saddle still maybe demanding. One or two sessions a week in the gym + some extra time playing on the bike will make a massive diference. Out of interest, where are you planning to go?@@baldandbiking
The trip will go through Eastern Ontario, along rail trails and fire roads in the highlands. @@piandthewheels

Very good
Thanks
Where do you do your riding please. Would love to join. One of your rides there a few of us
What a well-groomed trail, smooth hardpack void of ruts, rocks and sudden obstacles which is rare commodity out in the real world. For the majority of riders the AT is best left on the pavement or a dirt road at most.
It’s hard to decide what adv bike to buy because I want it for dirt but so many of you adv guys are bad at riding so it’s hard to tell what to buy
Would recommend watching Pol Tarres on T7
Welsh language
love the music

Nice
Thank you!
Beautiful

Pi, whhat a top , 😈
Would like to hear how the dct version is off road with no clutch control must be difficult in trick slow situation like when je fell off 📴
I've never tried Dct but there were some people riding dcts. They seemed to be doing ok and liking it Some people say it is easier to ride it in tricky terrain as you don't have to play with gears, clutching etc also almost impossible to stoll the engine I think at the end DCT must be tried whether suits the rider
Beautiful video. The water looks amazing! Thank you! Subscribed!
Thank you, it is really beautiful island with lots of amazing spots ,from above looks even prettier with all those colours
What an amazing landscape with drone! Your filming & editing skill make me a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing your good work! Like 2nd!
Thank you for your kind comment
What measurement did you use? My bike rim is 17 and I'm in Brazil. I really want to put this tire on.
Front tire 120/70-ZR17 Rear tire 160/60-ZR17
Qual a medida que você usou? o aro da minha moto é 17
Careful in mud dude they squirrel bad in mud but in gravel and stone they are pretty good.i found them on road dam good.what pressures you running.
Thanks for the advice, i don't think I would trust on mud anything else than full knobblies .You are right, on pavement these tires are really good, subjectively I trust them more than road 5 ,especially cornering. Tyre pressure not sure tbh, I assume the guy has inflated them to the pressure as in the books I usually stick to 29-41 psi
@Pi and The Wheels with the pressure I run 25 front and 36 rear .yes the anakee has a softish sidewall but they seem to work really well on gravel at that psi.... keep up the content dude, ride safe.
Thanks, I'll double check the psi on mine, just out of interest. Safe riding!
It was raining the last week here in germany and i cant wait to ride my 500x again! :D

Hi ,yes it is nice historical landmark, worth visiting if in the area, thanks for watching, safe riding!
Beautiful trail and beautiful bike. Got myself the 2022 matte black DCT in October last year. It's been a blast so far. Did you try riding it in the off-road or gravel mode?
YES, Indeed amazing bike. Can't remember which exact modes I was using as I was playing with differnt setting etc. but I asumme I must have:)
When going off-road you should switch to "Off-Road" mode and disable HSTC: czcams.com/video/33CbrtWNe1E/video.html And here is more off-road stuff: czcams.com/video/xHJgrXvjX30/video.html
What’s up dude, where is this?
SW UK , Exmoor national park.
There are many expensive videos made using Dartmoor's natural environment. To capture it by one man, using just his own equipment, and imagination is excellent, by including the background of the wind which is a permanent feature of Dartmoor, AND to have the atmospheric music of Loreena McKennitt at Ditsworthy Warren captures the spirit of the hard tough times portrayed in WAR HORSE! I appreciate your sensitivity and achievement in masking this video. Thank you!
Hi Apologies for the delay in my reply to your comment. Would like to thank for kind words. Love Dartmoor and its" climate " Tried to introduce it to the wider audience with my limited skills. Glad someone liked it Thank you
Is this nice bike on DCT? How does it behave offroad?
Hi ,I have not used DCT bike yet.ON this occasion I ve chosen to use manual. However, I spoke a lot with guys using dct,and they swear by it,especially on turing or commuting. Apparently, off road does pretty well as well. At the end of the day, it must be tried as it is down to personal choice I guess
@@piandthewheels I have DCT and will never go back :) Honda owns me until another manufacturer decides to add DCT to their line up. Amazing tech.
Hi
Cool👍👍👍 Unfortunately in California to buy africa is almost impossible. You need to order it and wait for more than half year.
Pity, but it may be the case everywhere these days Big rock moto still recommends buying 2019 model 1000cc Also, new Transalp 750 has been released recently, it may be worth checking
I think Africa is too heavy for this trail.🤔
AT is a very capable bike ,I am a novice off road rider and the bike gave me a lot of confidence. Didn't feel heavy, although it is a heavy bike. We had an opportunity to test it in various terrain/surface and the bike was a pleasure to ride. Ofcourse for someone who does only trails there are better/lighter choices (crf 300 etc) AT is great all rounder with plenty of comfort for touring
Capable and beautiful bike but it's not where it shines. I wouldn't be dropping a $20k just for fun. That terrain is for the XTZ 150, 250 max. Africa Twin, just like big Beemers are for long distance traveling IMHO. Cheers 🤠
Hi, yes you are pretty right that dropping 20k worth of bike would be no fun if it was yours. However, on this occasion, we were given a unique opportunity to ride/test AT in various terrain, on the road, gravel, green lines, etc without the stress of dropping it. That's the idea behind the 2DAYS EXPERIENCE, at HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE UK. You never know in what type of situation/terrain you may end up in. Over that 2days I have learned a lot about this bike's strengths, abilities, etc. Great experience, highly recommended! regards!
Great terrain and trail with many training possibilities.
Yes indeed, there are a few different venues in the area available to Honda adventure centre, plenty of land to train on.
I got some spine tingles from the landscapes of the moor that you showed, as well as the stonework that must have taken generations. My father's people came from Atherington, so there's that, too. Well done, and the alpenhorns certainly created a mood.
The buildings are amazing.
