What I do is throw away notebooks that have a lot of nonsense in them, and i try to do this once a week. This gets rid of the stacks I once had and gives me room to buy the notebooks I currently want. You can use this cleaning technique for anything in your life. Its very helpful for decluttering your home or spaces.

I wish you had shared more of your pages. They can inspire many of us on style or approaches.

You have inspired me to crack open a composition notebook and use that low cost type of book for fast flowing thought dump. I like that you call one book a scrapbook, I think that is exactly what that type of content should be called. You also make me really consider a little pocket book, you are so right that at times in the day I wish I had a handy little book to write something down quickly. I always keep a self reflection journal where I really process my dilemmas and deeper thoughts, its serious and private. I love the idea of a little sketch book for practicing a skill, I’d like to learn and practice sketching outside scenes of nature and buildings but I also want to learn and practice new handwriting fonts. Yep this is a winning video! And I love your authentic delivery style 💕

Thanks for making this video! I'm currently going into my senior year of high school, and I'm considering long-term career paths; one of which is academia in the area of anthropology/archeology. This was helpful in terms of seeing what my life might be like in grad school.

I had a similar experience with my undergrad. At the start, I thought I'd be writing my thesis about one of two ideas, but by the end I'd discovered a whole other thing that I hadn't known existed before, and I really enjoyed doing a deep-dive into it. Congrats on finding your niche!

Keep it up with the hands-on artistry and the writing 👍 Did you get up to Harlem? It is still a center of black culture although hipster and yuppy influences are also present now. The Schomberg center up there holds a wealth of information about black history. My Italian grandmother was born up there in 1900. East Harlem has multiple Hispanic cultural influences and I still go to my grandmother's Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on 116th St. 👍

Loved this! I'm a writer too, and I like the idea of handwriting stories in notebooks. However, I'm not sure if my hand will let me anymore! Since I'm getting older, my hand cramps much faster now than it used to. But I get so distracted when I'm on a computer that I am considering it again. Maybe I just need to find the right pen that won't cramp my hand as badly! lol I also love the idea of scrapbooking/junk journaling. I haven't really gotten into doing it fully, but I do sometimes stick things in my journals like movie tickets, fortunes from fortune cookies, candy wrappers with sayings on them, things like that. I also use lots of stickers and washi tape in my journals and planners. I don't draw, but maybe I can start doodling at least! Thanks for the ideas! I subbed, so I'm going to go watch more of your videos now. 😁📔📓

Bryant park is a lit place to do art. I considered drawing at the library but lord I cant be bothered with that tourist line to get in and to get OUT. The park is a much better idea and kinokuniya if it's ever space in the cafe.

I've been going back and forth on getting a monitor for my schoolwork as a supplement to my laptop. Do you like it for work as well as your laptop? May I ask the general price range of it?
