Watching this before your BG3 stream! Comment for the algorithm, but also to say I'm enjoying this world you're building. An asymmetrical town in a cave would actually work great. Mountains aren't uniform in composition or shape, so it makes sense to have the tunnel/cave string out in various random-looking directions due to not wanting to bring down the cave ceiling on the entire population.

I get that 10ft pole was a staple back in the day but surely some of the traps that would find cover an entire room? I think mage hand basically functions as that now anyways.

As a cleric, it almost feels as if the world has it out for me… luckily I heal half of my friend’s health bars per spell! In all seriousness, clerics make the party less safe because it makes the DM more prone to throwing 20 adult black dragons at you when you’re level 1.

Sweet, just confirmed my request for an alternate start in the Midden mod was actually put in the nexus (it uses Alternate Perspective which gives you a different means of interacting with the Helgen stuff, not LAL with its simple dragon flyby, but still, title is "start in the midden with alternate perspective"). Maybe I'll play that after I finish BG3 (I'm late to that party lol)

On DMsGuild, there's a "Guild Centric" character sheet whose upper portion is basically an adventurer's guild application that part of me just loves. Downside is it isn't printer-friendly and they haven't responded to my plea for a printer-friendly variant in literally 6 years... and I never figured out how to strip such backgrounds from a PDF (sometimes I'm chronically lazy lol).

There is nothing wrong with a little hope… it’s better than crushing their dreams. The chances may be slim, but, adventuring is fun while it lasts. Best to keep that sliver of fun in their lives before they have to go the rest of their life without it.

roflmao now I'm curious where the poor wizard was dragged off too... my knee-jerk needs to get out of the gutter (even if it might be accurate depending on how much... tension he needs to release lol) Otherwise I feel compelled to offer a feeble defense on behalf of all wizards and artificers everywhere: coming up with snazzy original names takes a completely different part of the brain than designing a new device, ergo it's a small wonder that different people with one skill set often flop at the other.
