Dalian Atkinson goal vs United in 93-94 season

Dalian Atkinson at his best from the early 90s. Here in a fantastic counter attack goal against Manchester United at Villa Park back in the 93-94 season. (Villa is not my team but I had mad respect for this guy's ability on the football pitch)

A Dion Dublin Memory

Before uploading this video, there were a rash of retirements of MUFC players that made a difference for me personally in the game. All these retirements reminded me of an unsung hero of mine from the same era. Dion Dublin here with a personal fav of mine due to his dedication to the club during a difficult time in his career.

Davy Jones Monkees Audition

a 19 year old Davy Jones auditions for the Monkees TV series back in the 60's
Soccer soccer
キャワイイー❣小3だったけど今も後悔はない。ホント素敵なタレントだった。
Lovely!!!
If I don't call it soccer, how will I differentiate it from rugger?
Steve might think of Pete as a loser but I’d say he has it decent. He’s a teacher whose students respect him.
He showed them didn't he?
Met the man about 14 months b4 what happened happened. Talked on the phone about doing a song I had written and pitched to him. I just looked up his address in Hollywood; he called immediately. What a total shock. We had a long conversation, made some plans to meet again after a tour. Just a beautiful man who stayed there for every autograph and every picture with fans. Never forgot his roots. Took nothing for granted. Wonderful man
R I P Davy Jones ❤🎉
Baseball is better than Football American!
Do you auditions for all four of the monkeys were horrific questions that have absolutely nothing to do with what the end means. Worry about absolutely stupid.
Heard Manson tried out for the Monkeys.
Lol asking a Brit if he’s the son of a KY Colonel
He's gorgeous 😍
Davy always seemed like the most likable Monkee,
Spiggy Topes & the turds.
what kind of an accent is this??
Manchester with elocution lessons
Webmaster you should have stated the date of this interview. Why did you fail to give us the date? 👎🏻👎🏻 Saying that this is from back in the 1960s will not cut it 👎🏻👎🏻
1965
I can tell from reading through the comments section that everyone hates the interviewer. The guy asking him the questions is series creator and producer Bob Rafelson. Some of the questions he's asking may seem a bit rude and abrasive but it's all being done deliberately to gauge Davy's reactions and how he handled it. They needed to find out if Davy was sensitive about being short because it was a question that was obviously going to be coming up a lot in real interviews down the line. Plus a great many jokes on the show would be about him being short. Say what you will but the guy knew what he was doing. He made the Monkees stars. (He died in July 2022)
That isn't even his real hat
DANCE MONKEY!
That was great!
Davy had a horse farm not far from where I live here in Central Pa. He spent quite a bit of time there. He was active in the community and could be seen often doing daily things.
I can remember the old Teenage Idol Wars between, The Monkees or the Beatles!!!! And Davy Jones was the heartthrob.
Wow. That is so cute. What great positive energy. No wonder he got picked. Sunlight.
I got the words Jockey and Junkie mixed up. It sounded like he told his dad "I want to be a junkie."

Mickey is the last Monkey left…
He was highly a twink he rather looks like a young as if you could have legal relations with him and get away with it
Adorable..I had a crush on him in the 80's&90's. For my graduation gift in 96' my mom&daddy took me to a Monkees concert at six flags. I walked down to the front stage and made eye contact with Davy while he was singing, he looked away for a second then looked back at me&winked. One of the highlights of my life.
He's so darling! We all have our time in the Sun and then it's over.
Those auditions back then; rapid fire questions, one ask after another, helping to bring out the real person
Cool dab
And the rest is history…..!!!!
Mr buckner is a certified nonce, baseball sucks and football is the best
God. Fucking dickheads. You're too good for them, Davy.
He was plastered all over my walls, too 💕
I adored Davy Jones, my first crush. I had a picture of him inside the lid of my school desk when I was 12.
Did he just dab at the end?
I was at the DMV in Monterey CA, early 1979, and Davy was right in front of me in line. We started talking and he was a genuinely nice guy. Funny too. Yeah RIP
I can definitely see why he was my first crush when I was 9 years old he was a cutie patootie. I had good taste in men even then.
I was born in '76 but I AM A MONKEES fan. But its Micky Dolenz smooth, creamy voice that keeps me hooked.
See how they try to emasculate you. It's an old pimp move.
I remember the Monkeys. They were all charming. Both my sister and I liked their music, and I watched their TV show. The show was kind of silly, but that beats all of the crappy shows made nowadays. DJ was the cutest one in the group. I never cared that he was short. First, I was about that height at my tallest. Unfortunately, with a family history of osteoporosis on both sides, and over 6 decades in my rear view mirror, I am now under 5 feet tall. Anyway, I find people's personalities and characters far more important than height, age, color, etc. DJ and his band mates brought pleasure to countess people with their music, their TV show, and their charming manner. By the way, I think "Day Dream Believer" was my favorite of their songs, and my sister had a couple of their full sized records. Why can't we have new nice programming anymore? Almost everything I watch anymore is old stuff, because I can't stand most of the shows made nowadays. Well, at least we still CAN watch the old stuff.😃
Charismatic as hell. I certainly would have chosen him.
That interviewer is harsh but Davey is so natural and unfazed he’s a beautiful inspiration; just be yourself, be happy. So glad I saw this video it’s wonderful. Love his music. I’m a fan reborn 50 years later.
The interviewer is Raybert co-founder Bob Rafelson, who was renown for being snarky and saying sarcastic barbs.
He's adorable. All The Monkees were smokers. Mickey said Davy smoked like it was his job, tho. Smoking is what killed my dad at 53. 1 heart attack is all it took also. So devastating. Xoxo Davy
Peter didn't smoke. He used to tell how during his interview the director offered him a cigarette and he said "I don't smoke... THOSE!" clearly implying he did smoke marijuana!
♥
How adorable is he? 🤗
Is this the full complete footage of the audition?
THE MONKEES... Were jewels of talent... The show was great comedic, musical entertainment...
