As far as the husked du, replacements, soul asylum thingy, SA were the best live act. Constantly .

As much as I love the Replacements, they never were this good live. Saw both bands many times and SA were consistently better live. The Replacements are my atf band and Paul is my favorite songwriter, but SA was a better live act. IMHO

I just love Malkmus' guitar playing around this time; well i mean l love his playing from any era...but the live shows from this time his playing is just so sharp , tight and wickedly hot....Type Slowly is absolutely epic.
