Steven Powell, you are a lying sack of shit! You don't give a FUCK about anything more than your bottom line! You ARE Corporate greed and public corruption at its most painfully obvious. Southern California Edison (SCE) managed to get the most egregious rate changes through their buddies at the California Public Utilities Commission that are crushing solar power generation. After 20 years of generating clean solar power and providing as much as 500 kWh of surplus power to the grid for practically free during peak demand periods, I received an email from SCE informing me that beginning January 2024, I will be forced to pay them 65 cents/kWh (that's 3x the regular rate for anyone that doesn't have solar) to use the surplus electricity that I generate during the day after the sun goes down. ?? This is the most egregious demonstration of OUTRIGHT THEFT and profit motivated corruption that is so clearly evident between private monopolies and public regulators. They could care less about the environment - fuck the lot of us! Why is this CZcams video's comments section the closest thing I can find to a way to actually communicate with anyone at SoCal Edison? Your website doesn't have all the information, your automated phone system doesn't either, and you offer no options to reach a person via phone or chat.
I have my panels through Sunnova via sce. What I'm trying to *OVERstand* if the panels were *free* why is Sunnova telling me in 5 years I'll have the *option to PURCHASE* the same *free panels* ? My monthly bill is $119 (after the *10% discount* when adding the autopay via checking|bank account.) When speaking with Sunnova they didn't have a clue about "free panels"...replying "the $119 covers the solar production." I completely get the customer pays for the overage/if any. I mean, my neighbors had their panels long before any free panels. They also pay $120 each month. My thing is, if I'm going to ultimately owe $30K, I could have just signed up directly. *Who was paid the $30K aka free panels, if the Sunnova claimed they haven't been paid?* Lastly, *7 minutes* worth telephone prompts and never was I connected to a live representative. I tried both the regular sce number and the sce solar interconnect number.
