Hi im going to get my birth control soon. I’ve done a test before and the doctor told me i had low follicle count . I really don’t know what that means and does that mean im not as fertile? (Im 18) However im planning to do birth control and not sure if i should go with hormonal ones like the implant or non hormonal ones like iud . Im scared if i take the hormonal ones this will effect me severely . But getting IUD seems like its super complicated. Please advise asap . Thanks

It's probably different per area, ours they won't even take you in as a patient if they don't see you by 10 weeks. Which i didn't know because the last time i was pregnant i scheduled it as soon as i found out and they saw me at 8 weeks. This time, i decided if i had i wait that scheduling it too early would make me too anxious. So we called them on a Friday and they said "uh you need to come in asap or we wollcan't take you as a patient." So i came in the following Monday and found out a was 9 weeks 6 days, about a week more than i expected. But the ob told me that by where i am now, there's a 90% success rate so i can understand why some places wait so long.
