Terence Young directed the 1971 Franco-Italian international co-production Spaghetti Western film Red Sun (Italian: Sole rosso, French: Soleil rouge), which starred Charles Bronson, Toshirō Mifune, Alain Delon, Ursula Andress, and Capucine. Young, a British filmmaker, used a script that Denne Bart Petitclerc, William Roberts, and Lawrence Roman wrote based on a Laird Koenig story to film it in Spain. On June 9, 1972, the movie was released in the United States.
