Great Western Railways: Locomotives Through Time

The first locomotives for the Great Western Railway were initially specified by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, but it was Daniel Gooch, GWR's first Locomotive Superintendent, who designed early broad gauge icons like Fire Fly and Iron Duke. Just discovered that my 9th great grandfather and his sister were leaders of their respective covens from Edinburgh. The other members coven conspirad to assist their escape in order to save the sacred knowledge. My spiritual connection to Scotland is very deep and respectful.

My palms were sweating when he put the first ladder up. Then he told us how exciting it is when the wind is blowing and he is 3/4 of the way up the chimney. I would rather be shot at dawn than put those ladders up the side of a 200 foot chimney. What a man Fred was.
It astounds me how these billionaire money people like SIR Jim Ratcliffe or SIR James Dyson couldn't recognise that keeping all this wealth of industrial knowledge complete and thus charging an entry fee to see it (as a simple matter of preserving British Heritage as a business venture) this place could have sustained many jobs locally in opening it up as a walk around museum / education centre. The local and distant schools could have benefitted from this and without doubt would have been visited by millions of people from far and wide...even worldwide. Fred Dibnah was a legend of Great Britain. He was everything British... which is now sadly almost dissolved. SMH
