Disability: Episodic Problems
Bathroom breaks, fainting spells, seizures, and other conditions can render a person temporarily incapacitated, and Social Security may approve disability if the problems are severe and frequent enough, but you MUST have accurate, detailed information on your episodes if you want to be approved. In this video, I talk about what you need to document your disability. Don't show up for your disability exam, or disability court hearing unprepared.

    You have to have a lawyer to get approved period. Waiting is 3-5 years! My heart goes out to the ones who had cancer or has a bad disability who got denied. Things have changed and more people are trying. Don’t think that just because you have xyz you don’t need a lawyer. Because even with emergency still get a lawyer They will take your case right away and they know how to push through. Do not claim on your own !!!!

      Thanks. I did a day of Social Security Disability exams last month, and had two patients with inflammatory bowel disease and diarrhea, who did not know who often they need bathroom breaks. It made me sad, because their chances of being approved (both of them really did have bad disease) would be greater if they could give reliable numbers. My advice is: measure anything that can be measured - how much you can lift, low long you can stand, how far you can walk, how often you have a seizure, etc.. "Not much", "a lot", or "frequently" aren't very good answers.

    I’m awaiting my CDR outcome. I have FBSS and 2 spinal implants for over a decade for chronic back pain and nerve root scar tissue/damage and radiculopathy. My whole spine is affected after surgeries and I have degenerative stenosis, DDD, spondylosis and scoliosis. I was told all my spine arthritis is seen normally in combat veterans. I still require oral pain meds and regular epidural injections and nerve ablations. I also have RA and hidradenitis suppurativa which thankfully is listed as an SSA skin disease consisting of chronic abscesses and scar tissue. It’s horribly painful and disfiguring and usually found in the armpits, groin, genitals and buttocks. On my third biologic and still suffering. Even so I’m still worried what SSA will rule. I’m in my 50s and wondering if CDRs will be longer in between and I haven’t worked in years. Thanks I love your channel ❤

    Oh rats, I wrote you a note that wasn’t disability related (but was medical) about a very strange (to me) incident that happened not too ago. Now I can’t find it so I put it here; thank you. I hope you don’t mind. I had SEVERE dizziness come on very suddenly. It would come on right away; not a gradual buildup. Then I started to vomit (yuk). I didn’t think my body could produce that much vomit or dizziness. Even after the actual vomiting, my body continued to convulse as if there were more food left, when there wasn’t any. Sorry to be gross. It was horrendous. So all-night vomiting and dizziness and being unable to walk. Very odd, I thought. I had to literally drag myself around on tile floor to the bathroom or whatever. It was absurd (but disastrous). when I did walk a bit, I crashed into things like furniture and stumbled a lot. So…When I finally decided to go to the ER they said it was a sinus infection! Sounded weird but the antibiotics prescribed cleared it right up. I’m always afraid it will come back someday, though. Have you ever seen anything like that? I think you may have been so kind as to reply to the prescribed (not sure) but I have no idea where the reply is (if there was one).

      Not sure if you watched any of Attorney Jonathan Ginsberg channel. He has an upload titled something like “ how to prove you would not be a reliable employee” which talks about how Social Security considers things, such as unscheduled breaks, excessive absences, and off task behavior as three issues which can be used as an argument in favor of disability. I watch his channel, and attorney Walter Hnot and have learned a lot of helpful info. But with your specific question, I think Jonathan Ginsberg might be helpful if you haven’t seen it already. Maybe Dr Foster will address this as well and I hope he sees your comment :-)

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams Před 9 dny

      I should have been clearer - it's the whole picture, but what I have learned from disability attorneys is they often win approval in Social Security cases based on bathroom breaks. When it comes to fatigue, it's important to differentiate tiredness - which is not considered disabling, from fatigue, which Social Security can consider disabling. Tiredness is what you experience when you haven't had enough sleep. Fatigue is what you experience when you've exerted yourself so much you have difficulty continuing. Many conditions, such as marked anemia, serious lung disease, or heart failure can cause fatigue that Social Security considers significant. You'll find fatigue included in several of Social Security's Listing of Impairments.

    At this point I see where it becomes a pattern for office of disability determination to continuously bother disabled individuals with trying to get claimant to become stressed out to the point of neglecting any business between disability and claimant. It is a bullying tactic. Who can keep up a fight for poverty without attempting some re-entry into workforce for financial release? A disables individual can. Be careful with racing thoughts when being examined by a disability examiner or the people like this content creator or vendors hired to work on SSA behalf.
