Wish Aaliyah Aaliyah Was Alive I really really Do Miss Aaliyah

I am 1 year older than Aaliyah, so I literally grew up with listening to her as she also grew up. I live and grew up in Europe, so they were a little later with the release of songs. I was 15 or 16 when I first heard her music. The first song I heard was "Down with the clique" or "Back and Forth". I immediately was in love with her music and herself (not litterally 🤭) She was so beautiful, well spoken, polite, and had a great sense of fashion style. She looked good in everything from baggy clothes to sexy women's clothing. I'm still sad over her death 💔. I have never been a fan of anyone, 2 exceptions, 2Pac and Aaliyah may they both rest in peace.So sad they both died so young and still many questions aren't answered. 🤲🙏 #Justice for Aaliyah & 2Pac

hey, current babygirl fan (or ig enthusiast) here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i’m already late in the party but, damn… your fan album towards aali (so far as im currently in) feels so drastic yet different in tone compared to her three previous albums. what took me by surprise is the fan album cover. my god… how can i explain this? when seeing that face of aaliyah for the first time ever, i got a haunted yet a disturbed feeling deep down in my gut. it’s like as if i saw a ghost but, as soon as i turn my head, the ghost i thought was next to me wasn’t really there. when looking at her for a quite while, i noticed how gorgeous she was (gives me corpse bride vibes; creepy yet, stunning). still young and beautiful from the unfortunate tragedy has took the whole of her and her life in a short period of time. i love how this cover is shown as a reflection of her death (in a metaphorical sense). it felt as if you stumble across a piece of paper that labels a missing person attached to a wooden pole. or it felt like her last photo that was taken right before her death. the title, ‘obscure’ defines this fan album so well. imagine going from listening to her self-debut album to here… i mean, look and hear how drastic it all is! this fan album would left you confused yet, uncertain… in a good way! usually, the first three of her albums (ok, maybe not for ‘age ain’t nothing but a number’ for a… curtain reason) usually has a calm while also having a groovy mood every now and then. it feels strange because it’s like as if while aaliyah was still alive, her songs were filled with color, as well as energy. but, then i get to here and im like “yo, this felt really creepy and strange… but, different” still calm sounding and typical for her own songs but, when looking up and realize that aaliyah is dead, you feel like as if her music here became a distant memory that will live on throughout her legacy. moving onto the song choices, the songs you’ve picked or found (especially if it’s unreleased material) such as the remix of ‘if your girl only knew’, ‘don’t worry’, ‘all i need’, ‘death of a playa’, ‘man undercover’, etc. reflects the album and the cover so well. they give me goosebumps and chills at the same time, something i don’t think would ever happen until i approach to this fan album. her voice has a ghostly atmosphere yet, sounds like an angel. i never felt that way before from a fan aaliyah album and that really surprises me! the colors from the fan cover i find very interesting… it’s all washed out unlike her actual albums. the black [representing despair and mourning while also importance and strength], gray [representing sadness and loss while also elegance and maturity], and the white [representing distant and emptiness while also purity and innocence]. these colors describes it all, especially the background that has small details (such as the cracks in the top left and the background feeling like it’s starting to crumble or to fade away). everything about it is just so symbolic! those washed out colors doesn’t necessarily mean that aali is well, dead and not here with us now. it also shows how despite her unique talents, her quirks, and her outshine joyful nature towards the people around her, she has to dealt with shit and the downsides towards life. as a result, she made connections along the way and how they, along with her family and career, help her grow as a person. no matter what she dealt with, she persevered through and through and got what she really wanted ever since she was a kid (a dream of being a singer and an actress). it would’ve been nice to wonder what her future albums, connections, families, songs or even other things that she could’ve done in a lifetime. although, i could say for sure that aaliyah has accomplished everything for what she strives for. maybe not all of it… especially since her and dame dash were planned to get married right after the filming of “the matrix”. we can all hope for what it could’ve been like but, we all know that some things don’t last long or forever. i hope that aaliyah is still fully happy and healthy across heaven, singing up from above. i can tell you how much she really inspires me, as well as how she helps me go through my personal struggles. sometimes, i would wonder what it’s like if i do met her… from what i’ve read or watched about her, i can see that she’s a really genuine person with the most kindest heart out there. just that the world can be very dark and cruel sometimes. sorry if this comment is like really, REALLY long. i just had a whole lot to mention about in my mind. but yeah, if you’re reading this, thank you for taking the time to read this “analysis” and for this channel to create a fan album that definitely caught my eye haha. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** author’s note: shit, just realized it’s close to 5am as i was done typing this… welp 🤷‍♀️ **
