This german influence in the US is one of the reasons (in my opinion) why Americans are so exessive. This not very pleasant attitude can be found in my homecountry of Namibia. Those of german origin there are loud, rogue, racist people who wish only to dominate by all means and do business no matter how. Not all, bur too many. They are frankly bizarre and very unpleasant. A big part of Cleveland was once inhabited by mostly Slovenians that came there while they were still Austrians and I am sure Austrians were regarded Germans in the USA so I wonder what is the truth about so many Germans living in the USA. How many of them are real Germans and how many are just saying they have German heritage while they are actually Austrians, Czech, Slovenes, Poles, Hungarians, Swiss people...

I wonder how many of the American "Germans" are actually Austrian, Czech, Hungarian... Most of Austro-Hungarian people registered as Germans when they came to America. Austrians are not Germans by blood and genes. They are more Celtic and Slavic people than Germanic.

I live and Germany and not all walls are like that. I have walls that are also thick and they make the same noise as the wall in the video but some of my walls are quite thin and when you lightly hit them, they almost seem hollow

Any way to cover the insulation that is on the back of the front panel? The kickplate is behind it and unfortunately our kitty had been eating the insulation before we figured out what he was doing! He threw it up. We have to stack heavy boxes in front of the dishwasher and stuff towels behind the insulation until we can figure out a solution! We are desperate to find a way to block him from the insulation. We can' t use any rubber because he will eat that (ask me how I know -- we now have a new washing machine because he ate the silicone seal of our previous one:(
