I have never been into trains but fed up with the muck and drivel on social media I stumbled across these diesels. What a great antidote!

The way JST came up with that idea to connect the neck and axles directly to the liebherr and do away with a trailer bed or spine bed was a great piece of engineering and weight saving 🎉🎉🎉

Have you got videos of the tripple headed 37s thrashing up stormey bank on heavy ore trains , Port Talbot to Llanwern steelworks. Also the two 4-coach thumpers thrashing through Clapham Junction on the morning rush hours.

The Class 37 at the beginning pulls away so effortlessly. I had two of those in a train set - one green and one blue. The blue one had a much stronger motor and sounded like it meant business whereas the green one was gentler. Memories that get brought up are fascinating :)

In 1987 I was in collage in Warrington & my diggs were in Bewsey street. At the end of a term in 1988 I was returning to Wales but missed the last train so spent the night at Bank Quay in a drafty cold waiting room. The noise from trains speeding through & waiting was preventing me from sleeping along with the noise from Leaver Brothers washing powder factory (Ones eyes stung a little from the particles raining down from the chimney). A sleeper train parked up for a while & I saw the passengers in their beds & I wished that I had a bed too. The station master turned a blind eye so a big thanks to Him for allowing me to stay.
