Why is Maun so poor, has tons of unpaved roads, and is uncommercialized compared to Botswana’s other major cities?
@jacekgarbowicz616 large village vs large city. Lower average income. Less taxes coming in.
@@FrigidColdFlying Interesting and unfortunate. Maun is definitely bigger than many places considered cities or towns in Botswana like Serowe or Mahalapye. Does municipally being a village in Botswana cause villages to get less money than places with city or town status?
@@jacekgarbowicz616 I don't know for sure. But I'm guessing. The infrastructure seemed to be much less than bigger areas. But new malls and businesses being built give me hope.

Not a clue. Couldn't renew our visas there. I'm trying to arrange a trip back there soon.
@@FrigidColdFlying Ah, I figured something along those lines. If there was a catastrophic issue or drama, Drivetribe would have been all over it. Seems that these things just take time. I hope it all works out!
@bastaudio no idea. The hard part for me was the car was in Botswana. Registered in South Africa. And owner and title was in Zimbabwe. Was hard to sort out with borders shut with covid and the following years. Gave up as my visa expired. Tried to line everything up for a few years. Wanted to restore it and have them all reunited.
