I always wanted to join the army when I was younger, but due to being deaf in my left ear, I was not given the opportunity. I ended up being a firefighter/ EMT. Many years later, I received a back injury from fighting a house fire. Now that I can't fight fire any more, I've been volunteering my time with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Tallahassee, Florida, at Post 3308.

I’m confused I did combative in basic, crash course trained in ait in Maryland even competed in a tournament there then went to first duty station and did full level one course from my understanding it was a requirement. They beat the crap out of you with boxing gloves and reset just to pound on you some more. I wasn’t infantry either.
