It’s 2023, and I’m revisiting this song and listening to covers - - and this was good, really good for an audition, the fact he said he was going to put his passion to the side to find a job outside of singing is sad, I’m going to revisit this cover because it was well done, thank you the voice UK

The best Audition to KISS OF THE ROSE ever
It was the right call. He had good sound but the whole performance was very constrained by his limited range. The song choice didn't help. The passionately explosive range of Seal just really shined a spotlight on the areas that were lacking.

Guys sings good, but did not hit the tone for the song. Who ever hits the tone of whintney's, I will always love you and Seal, Kiss from a rose gets everyone respect and vote.
When someone does a cover it shouldn’t try to sound too similar to the original it should sound different
Seal is one of my all time favorite singers and seeing you doing this cover is just really amazing! you did it perfectly. You did it to the point that I really felt like I was listening to Seal singing by your side. I could see him telling you to go further, you know? that was really amazing. Your voice is really sweet is really unique. There’s some rock ‘n’ roll vibe on it, but at the same time there’s some soul on it. please remember that the judges are humans and so because of that they make mistakes, just like they did by not pressing the button for you.

The problem with this song is that Seal( the original artist) has an amazing voice. So if you don't nail it, it will show the limits of your voice.
