I've had this done as far as i can tell but it was combined with laser surgery. So instead of stripping, the Great Saphenous vein was closed via laser. Then the doctor proceeded to strip a d ligate the superficial branches down the leg. The procedure was a bit painful, altho manageable. Recovery is ok, some pain, hematomas and inflammation but its healing well overall and i can walk my dog so its good.
