We embarked on an unforgettable Babymoon to the beautiful island country of Mauritius, and we had an absolute blast! Our stay at the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel, located on the east side of the island, was perfect. The all-inclusive package allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our time together before our baby girl, Katrien, arrives in mid-July.

Glad you enjoyed the visit. Been a rough ride with the weather in Hermanus (and elsewhere) the last few months. The Droekloof is a favourite of mine as I stay only a km away. Good cardio and kudos to doing it with a baby on board. You will probably have noticed the water damage all over Fernkloof (not sure when you were here) and the erosion up the Kloof. Made worse by fires in 2019 so that the ground covers didn’t really have time to reestablish. It’s going to take some rehabilitation, money and time to make all of Fernkloof walkable again unfortunately. Thanks for visiting and see you soon again.(Up Droekloof and down the Zig Zag or Adders Ladder is right of passage if you live here and enjoy hiking.)
