Since I am 72 and going to pt - I find I can't do the bird dog any more than 10x and it follows with me floundering on the floor like a beached whale!! I am more than 40lbs over weight and the pt instructor asks me to do 30 reps daily - how do I overcome this weakness with I believe is poor core and s i joint disorder - is your beginning exercise video really a building of strength to do the full exercise and would my instructor agree with this temporary way of doing the exercise?? Any advice would be great - and thanks much.
I am 70 and my physical therapist is having me do this exercise. I’m finding it very challenging. I think I’ll start with the suggested arms only, then legs only.
