The Force: Good & Evil!
You know… I never knew why mothers and fathers hid family secrets. Not until now. But as hurtful as it is, one needs to know where they come from so they do not repeat the same mistake. Learn from your history.
Love is bane to honour, it just suits the situation of RHAEGAR
Elia was the victim that everyone thought Lyanna was
I think Rhaegar is similar to Griffith (Berserk reader will understand).
I thought Elia was on board with Rhaegar marrying the stark lady
Nobody knows. Rhaegar was a mistery himself. Was he good or was he bad? Nobody knows.
The show is stupid. None of that Rebellion was Rhaegar’s doing. Fuck sake, guys. Read!
Lyanna was 16. The daughter of one of the most important houses of Westeros. Betrothed to the heir of another one of the most important houses. Rhaegar was married, and made her a concubine, insulting both the Stark and the Baratheon. It was not by chance that Brandon reacted already to the gift at Harrenhal, and king Aerys was clinically mad. What did they think would have happened?
On second thought, you are right. The war was the fault of Sir Arthur Dayne. HE HAD ONE JOB! TO WIN THAT FU****G TOURNMENT!
There´s actually 2 hints no one has ever seemed to pick up on. 1. Ned looking at his feet in the crypt when Rob talked about ending the Targ line, while a couple scenes earlier or later we get Catelyn warning Bran about the castle parkour, and that she knows he always looks at his feet before lying. 2. When they find the Direwolf pups. Eddard is stern to all his kids, about the wolves; not going to survive, so better a quick death. Jon gives Ned a speech about houses, words and sigils and Ned flips 180 degrees and allows the kids to adopt the puppers. The first time I read that part I thought to myself: "Why the hell do you scorn your real kids, but you genuinly listen to the bastard?"
Wow, great observations...He listened to him because maybe Jon is not only his nephew but his prince.
The fact we only really hear about him and never really get to see him makes him so intriguing
You don't know how disappointed I was when he appeared in the show. I read so many times that he was super handsome, everything a prince should be and look and D&D gave us an average dude 😅😅
Fantastic edit...thank you
bran knew jon was rightful heir then he decided to claim he was dornish bastard and then sam revealed truth and then bran changed his plan into sending jon away. tyrion said to jon our new king needs to make peace. ıt was bran's decision to send jon away, keeping out of him to throne. when unsilleds go to naath he could bring jon back but we know he wouldn't.
Rhaegar was the hope that a good King would keep Westeros stable, especially after Aerys went mad....unfortunately most people didnt knew he was prophecy mad....and the people who knew him, and loved him, ended up DEAD because of him...
Maybe they all loved him.
Tell you what we all want a Jon snow show out but I like to see too others now the dance of the dragons was seen the one about Rhaegar and Jon snow mom and the one with Aegon the conqueror
Everyone's talking calmy and in a somber tone and then Robert shows up 1:01
*Bobbycels are at it again*
1:30 The Littlefinger's expression, that smile and looking down. Did he know? Did he know that? In the show, i mean. Major Spoilers for new readers/watchers,but Did he know the truth of that war, the real identify of a certain person?
I don't think so. He just was sweet talking to Sansa.
Lyanna: I kinda forgot Rhaegar was married
Lyanna: and that he had already two children. But Robert, who wasn't married yet, is scum, eh?
@@cristinademartini6653Robert already had many Bastards children.
I like that you chose to put a Westworld music on GOT images. 😂😂
Rhaegar on his way to commit yet another unspeakably dumb act for the sake of some vague-ass prophecy.
Walder Frey > Rhaegar Targaryen Rhaegar Targaryen The man abandoned his wife and children. For a young woman, Rheagar dishonored Elia.
rhaegar targaryen “Wait abducting a teenager has consequences???”
"Leaving my wife who belonged to an House who had been a pain in mine's ass for centuries and my kids and rightful heirs would have consequences???" XD
@@cristinademartini6653 making a concubine of the daughter of one of the most important houses of Westeros, already betrothed to the heir of another one of the most important houses, so insulting both, would have consequences?
@@neutronalchemist3241ladies and gentlemen, Rhaegar Targaryen, The Master Diplomacy and Alliances XD
@@cristinademartini6653 However we are all forgetting the role of Sir Arthur Dayne in starting the war. HE HAD ONE JOB! TO WIN THAT F*****G TOURNMENT!
@@neutronalchemist3241 or at least sir Barristan Selmy, who then would have crowned Lady Ashara Dayne queen of love and beauty, and none of that mess would have happened.
And yet no one except Ned (and Bran) knew the truth
Bruh that Leftovers soundtrack gives me PTSD
‘Do you know why I come all the way to this stinking shitpile of a city… for you’ - Prince Oberyn Martell
Robert > Raeghar
Rheagar was a douche and ruined/caused the destruction of his whole family, selfish creep, he was married had children and still wen for the young gal only 16 years of age lmao huh??
Rheagar was most beautiful character a skilled warrior ❤❤❤🐐Father of Jon
It is called "A song of Ice and fire" for a reason.
This remains the best "Obi-wan flashbacks" video. It is emotional, but subtle. It feels like the movie, but also like a promotional music video.
this bullshit i hate the fact the made look rhaegar like a hero All of this was caused by a chain of events that detonated with the kidnapping of Lyanna Stark. hes dad was mad and every one was expecting rhegar to take the trone His obsession with the prophecy of the promised prince was what led to the destruction of his house.
When you really dive into Rheagar his obsession with prophecy shows he wasn't all that good
robert loved lyanna so much that he dishonored her time and time again creating bastards with women he met on the street
But *he wasn't married* to her still; and many lord used to have bastards at those times, didn't they? Rhaegar instead, was *legally married* to Elia Martell and had two legal heirs with her; and he abandoned them to their horrible fate, and he ruined the Martell-Targaryen alliance. So, who's the better one here? I'd say Robert a million folds.
@@cristinademartini1284 robert was legally betrothed to lyanna, the lawful heir to storms end, and despite that manwhored himself to any woman who glanced at him. Rhaegar however, though married to a martell, was only married to the martells because the martells are traditional blackfyre loyalists. As in they backed usurpers before. Rhaegar unlike robert was loved by the entire kingdom, and using your argument, because rhaegar was the lord of dragonstone, therefore using your argument, hes allowed to have bastards too.
@@evanf.4801 maybe i didn't express myself clear: if Rhaegar and Lyanna had an affair with bastards, that would be still fine by their standards; Rhaegar *publicily humilated* and *set aside* his legittimate wife and made their *children bastards*, which was a disohonor to House Martell. That's worse imho than a man who likes to lie with women *while* not being still married to Lyanna. And who knows if Robert wouldn't be faithful to her if they got married? and by the way, Lyanna blaming Robert while she went with an already married man, that's a little hypocrit, isn't it?
@@cristinademartini1284 he wasnt faithful to cersei once they got married, and I’m sure as a targaryen whos cousins, friends, uncles and aunts all died fighting the blackfyres (usurpers all) it probably rankled at him to have to marry a member of a family who supported the blackfyres, and rebelled against his dynasty’s rule countless times before. On paper, lords of the realm shouldn’t sleep around at all, this includes robert. There are some lords, like Rhaegar who didnt until him and lyanna fell in love. Why would lyanna want to marry a man who would likely not be faithful to her? Why would rhaegar want to be married to his blood enemy? It was a tradition of the targaryens to take multiple wives in old valyria, and some once in westeros did. It was only because of their adherence to the faith of the seven that they didnt. Robert literally got mad because for once, he wasnt mr. Steal your girl. How many women did he dishonor, husbands did he besmirch, marriages did robert ruin? And only got away with it because he was robert fucking baratheon. Its a little hypocritical to hate rhaegar for doing once in his entire life what robert and countless lords and heirs did on a daily basis.
@@evanf.4801 there's a little difference: Robert before the rebellion wasn't a king, Rhaegar was the crown prince, so he had more responsabilities than him towards his future vassals, didn't he? And abandoning your legittimate wife (who belonged to a House which had been a pain in his one's ass for centuries) for another girl who is the daughter of your vassals and the betrothed to another one isn't the best way to ensure their fealty to yourself, is it? Robert wasn't faithful to Cersei (not tha she was faithful to him neither; unlike Elia was said to be to her "noble husband")because he didn't love her and she didn't love him; still, he didn't ditch her for another lady and so they kept the reign united: when you are monarchs, you have duties to your kingdom. deal with it. If you don't want to, then you refuse the crown and the throne, like prince Duncan Targaryen did for Jeyne of old stones (which also caused an almost rebellion, by the way).
I hate Rhaegar.
Rhaegar targaryen loved lyanna stark he never raped her they married each other!
They really picked a ugly actor for Rhaegar here
Lyanna ain't it either, at least not to start a rebellion for
Ita funny how they throw away the oportunity to have the most human Targaryen as a king to transform the seven kingdom to a battle royale for power.
I legit think this video spawned so many other types like it. Still my favorite one tho
Never liked Rhaegar for how he abandoned Ellia Martell at the red keep.
We have a new Jedi padiwan learner among us and he’s in my third CZcams family as my son’s sexy nephew ❤
The best part of GoT was finding out that Robert’s Rebellion was a fraud , and that Robert himself was the evil usurper , despite what we’ve been told for the first seasons .
"The evil usurper" who was threatened to have his head chopped off by the Mad King after the crown prince stole his betrothed and thus ruined his alliance to the Starks. Bugger off with "Robert the evil usurper" or that "his rebellion was built on a lie".
Except it's not. Yes, Rhaegar's actions alongside Lyana are the catalyst for the Rebellion but had Aerys not murdered the elder Starks for demanding consequences for those actions, the Rebellion would have remained a dispute between Robert and Rhaegar and perhaps a smaller conflict with Dorne as they would have demanded that honour be satisfied for the affair. The Rebellion itself thereafter is totally justified and not evil. Just because we now know that Lyana went willingly doesn't change what happens after that
Except that's very one-sided.
Targcel be like: Noooo she can't be married to Robert, he's just a drunken man, not a good man and definitely not a good husband. Also Targcel: defended Rhaegar, a guy who left his wife and children to meet a horrific fate, doomed his entire house, and kidnap underage girl
I hate rhaegar and even more who defends him.
8 years later and I'm still overwhelmed by the response this video received. Just want to thank anyone who has taken the time to watch it and leave a comment. Still means the world to me.
You have some skill, this is perfect editing. The choice to make the knighting scene silent was incredible.
Thank you!
And they all shit themselves at the end
"Everybody loves rhaegar" Meanwhile robert baratheon:
Rhegars foolishness leads house fall and whole targaryen monarchy ruined even his innocent wife and children suffered most
He is a good king
I never get bored watching this video. Thank you, man ♥️.
1:51 why 😂
He still cheated on his wife.
and abandoned his children whom he had with her. Think of poor little Rhaenys who hid under Rhaegar's bed, because she was seeking her "father" 's protection from the Mountain.
