Hi quick question can you use a sometimes card that says" you may play this card when you are about to lose gold" to ante in a round of gambling? can you use that effect to pay a cost to buy sonething like phrenk, or pay a cost to active a card you played?

I love RDI and I have demo'd it a few times at local stores, but sadly it is not a big hit in our area. There are two or three of us who really like it, but the community as a whole just doesn't seem to care. I got tired of scheduling events and no one showing for them so I ended up no longer doing it. I own everything for RDI though and a couple of the other games in the universe (though I'm not as interested in those).

Phyl is a very confusing character due to his mix ins, because no where (that i could find) does it state when you can use the mix-ins, or if they stay on your shelf after you use them or if they go in your discard pile. The deck has surprisingly few mix in cards, and their effects feel somewhat minimal, so the frequency of you actually getting to play the decks whole theme is fairly little from what I’ve seen. The cards are sometimes cards, but they never tell you when you can actually use them. You would assume during the drink phase after the drink is revealed, but no where does it state if you can use it on your own cards or not. You just have to assume. Idk, maybe it just needs more playtesting on my end.

It would be pretty awesome to see a Deep Rock Galactic themed Red Dragon’s inn expansion with not only the 4 dwarfs, Mission Control, but also the Abyss Bars many unique beers like Black Out Stout, Leaf Lovers special, wormhole special, Smart Stout, the new Rando Weisser, and a bunch more drinks!

Do you have to discard at least 1 card to be able to draw back up to 7? I’m thinking you draw up to 7 at the start of the turn regardless of how many you discard (after the optional discard of course). Half of my gaming group is saying that you must discard at least 1 card to be able to get back up to a full hand because the rule about drawing is written “you may discard and then draw” in the same sentence. Their version of the ruling seems weird especially since you’d get stuck if you got down to 0 cards. Can I get some clarification on here? I’m pretty sure I’m right, but I need confirmation for them to agree

Played the first 2 scenarios two handed solo to get familiar with all the games rules before playing it in a group. First game I ever played solo and I'm actually kinda torn between keep playing on on my own and switching to playing in a group. I'm really liking the gameplay and the attention to detail on how the tutorial is build up so far. Very clever way of adding new elements every scenario.
