This is as good as it gets. Beautiful.
Was great until the guitar solo. Totally ruined the whole tune. Knowing modes and scales is great but God gave us ears too... to use them so we could tell when something doesn't sound right. That was just musical masturbation. What a shame. Grapelli deserved better accompaniment.
These guys were so utterly magnificent. Marvelous stuff!
I had the great chance to learn guitare with a wonderful french teacher, called François Sauzet who played with Stéphane Grappelli. Mister Sauzet passed away this year of 2024. But one of my best friend, Loïc is his grand child. Peace to all thèse wonderful human beings. And Peace on Hearth. Love from France 🙏☮️🕊️🌻🎸
Unsurpassed. So good.
Ace! 🥂✌️
When first to this country a stranger I came, I placed my affections on a maid that was young, She being young and tender, her waist was small and slender, Kind Nature had formed her for my overthrow. On the banks of the Bann, where I first beheld her, She appeared like fair Juno or a Grecian queen, Her eyes shone like diamonds, her hair softly twining, Her cheeks were like roses or blood drips in snow. 'Twas her cruel parents that first caused our variance, All because I was poor of a low degree, But I'll do my endeavour to gain my love's favour, Although she is come from a rich family. My name is Delaney, a name that won't shame me, And if I had saved money, I'd have plenty in store, But drinking and courting, night rambling and sporting, Are the cause of my ruin and absence from home. Had I all the money that's in the West Indies, Or had I the gold of the African shore, I would spend it on pearls and on you my brown girl, For there's no other love on this earth I adore. Now since I have gained her I'm contented for life, I'll put rings on her fingers and gold in her ear. We'll live on the banks of the lovely Bann river, And in all sorts of splendour I'll style her my dear.
Super musiciens qu'elle plaisir pou les oreilles
Small group. Like Benny Goodman. Chamber Jazz music....
Animation is coming out from his violin.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day, y'all. Peace
Grappelli, Lange, Venuti and Django. So special and inspirational to a legion of musicians.
I had the great privilege of watching Gerry on a nearly weekly basis, in the early 80s at the Loch Ness Monster Pub in Pasadena, California. He played with a group known as Train to Sligo: Tom Moore, Janie Cribbs, Judy Gammeril, Paulette Gershon, and Gerry, whose solo on The Mighty Turk was a wonder to behold. Lovely people all. Not to mention, a hell of a band.
If this doesn't put a smile on your face there's something wrong with you.
Music from heaven.
Was this tune in the Butcher boy ?

I have no words. this is awesome. I am asking for more music that catches my ears and reaches my musical soul, thank you very much. wish you all the best
Wondrous
Breathtaking performance by one of the greatest vocal groups ever, and yet ...and yet...you hear the voices of morons in the back ground who can't recognise greatness and simply CAN NOT shut up.
❤❤❤❤❤❤

Excellent bhoys
Is a dig at McacArtney?
That was very enjoyable😊
Does Peter come from Jarrow? If so, hi Peter cousin Bill here we last met back in the late '60's
I bet Martin would have swung the crap out of that tune too. His rhythm was great.
Perfect harmony
How much were those tickets?
Stephane's the BEST EVER !!!
I used go to the Fox Inn in Ashbourne, Co Meath to listen to Louis Stewart play in the 1960s. The audience was small but very appreciative.
Really lovely! Is the tune the same one used in Lord of all Hopefullness, Lord of all Joy??? X Deni
