It's a classic film, but I will never understand how Hawks could okay such an unimpressive design for the titular character. James Arness with a flat head. So basic.

Bonanza has been my all time favourite show ever since I first watched it as a 6 year old child, 64 years ago The family values and the love that Ben had for his sons continues to resonate with me and in later years I have had an added bonus of travelling abroad and making friends with so many like minded people.

Instead of overbearing music, limited annotation for each photo would be nice.

AND, Clint Walker could SING! Really sing! I'm curiouis if he was bing considered to play L'il Abner in the film, L'il Abner. No doubt his contract for Cheyenne meant he was not available. Absolutely miraculous that he not only survived having his heart impaled by his ski pole, but that he did not have devastating brain damage from the lack of blood flow and oxygen to his brain. His being in excellent heath had to have helped him survive.

The picture at the 1;47 mark looks to be the shot of the Red Sea parted . They added the water in post production . The special. Making of The Ten Commandments explains lots of the effects in the movie with cast back stories and shooting location scouting tours .

Gabby Hayes is definitely one of the greatest Western actors Ever. I’m so glad He had a long career life. I don’t think in 2024 they have Hollywood Actors such as Gabby Hayes.

Great still photos of behind the scenes of the film. Unfortunately, the poster ads on the grocery story walls seen in these photos, were never seen in the film, since all the grocery store shots were either close-ups or tighter shots. This led to the grocery store interior looking far more like a studio stage shot than an actual grocery store. Hundreds of cans stacked, with few-to-no other types of packaging, bottles or normal store items seen in the actual final cut of the film.

I liked Gabby Hayes, I learned something about Gabby Hayes. Thank you for episode. I was too young at the time, it's good that I can go on You Tube and learn about different people.

THE greatest Western ever made. It was so good that Clint Eastwood made Pale Rider based on just about every aspect of it, albeit with a different slant.

great movie

One of our favorite shows on MeTV!. We can't figure out how they could even make this show without all the cast members rolling on the floor laughing during every filming. So ridiculous, stupid & corny we practically fall off our chairs laughing. Every single actor made this show the hit that it was - not forgetting Arnold, Eleanor, and Alice .

Thank you so much for uploading these wonderful photographs of one of my top musicals, which belie the tensions off-camera. According to M/S Fabray, it wasn't a nice shoot. She apparently upset Nr Astaire, and he wouldn't speak to her and, apparently Mr Levant was nasty and moody, and she ended up telling him where to go. It certainly is to their professionalism that it doesn't show. R.I.P. You are all much missed. ❤❤❤❤❤.
