The entire game is fake history wrapped around actual history to create plausible fiction, do you think Leonardo Da Vinci was actually in league with an assassin brotherhood? The idea that Yasuke might’ve been a samurai matters as much as Connor a half Native American man was instrumental in the American revolution. Nothing about this game is new for the franchise, people are just desperate to push the wokeness in games narrative even though they ignore fakes that are actually woke to focus games that aren’t.

You're right, but like I was ultimately saying is they warped and bent history to tell a cool story. Compare the outrage of ghosts and shadows' unhistorical accuracy, You can see they are mad that the main character is black and they are already judging it before they even tell the story.

yeah 1 game after ac1 we got Leonardo da Vinci who invented and made the hidden gun, tank and flying machine but a black guy in japan that destroyed your immersion. it is based on a real guy in japan who was black so it not some random thing they did since is actualy exist.

He was not given the title of samurai. You typically had to be born a samurai with VERY few exceptions (William Adams), and Adams was given his title of samurai directly by the Shogunate. Yasuke was not given his own katana nor was he trained with the katana. Once his master, Nobunaga died, the opposing forces who defeated Nobunaga sent Yasuke back to the Portuguese because they saw him as a clueless animal. He didn’t do anything badass. He was a servant.

The point is stupid, there’s two protagonists in the game about assassins and the other protagonist is a Japanese assassin. The real question is who is buying ASSASSINS creed to play as a samurai? If you want to play as a samurai go buy one the other multiple samurai games that have come out in recent years. No one can actually prove it’s Ubisoft editing anything, maybe activists are but they’re not the company. All I can see is Ubisoft finally gave in and made an AC game in Japan and they don’t want to do something cliche and generic they actually want to tell a story worth telling. It seems a bit laughable to think Ubisoft needs to do anything about white male protagonists, their OG character is Altair Ibn La Ahad, can you guess his race? Technically speaking it took Ubisoft 4 games to have a white lead being Italians weren’t considered white until recent history. AC has always been a culturally diverse franchise cause it’s built on a philosophical conflict that transcends race and sex, the only people politicising this are the ones who want push a narrative of wokeness in gaming while not addressing the real issues cause that would actually require effort and thinking.

yes they might be not truly accruate but not to a point to change the background of a historically known people, although he is not that well known he is actually the right hand man for the famous Nobunaga. His title and rank is lock, he only serves Nobunaga less than 2 years, he cant be samurai (in addition he did not being granted a family name)

@@netron66 I did a little research and found out that retainer is a rank of samurai, the lawest i think. But even if i am wrong, that doesnt mean it will be woke. After all ac has changed many historical things to make a good story. For the leaks we have so far it is very possible that oda will propably be a templar, so he will manipulate Yasuke to think tha he is his savior who gave him a normal life, while in reality he used him as a tool to show his power. But Yasuke will soon find the truth and join the assassins to redeem himshelf for the pain he has caused. We will have just wait until june to see the gameplay reveal to be able to make conclusions about it.

@@user-ze1sy6hl2b not really, a retainer serves the samurai or a lord, informally saying the last line of defense to their bloodline, they are not meant to be in a war. however in this case he was bought by Nobunaga and served him for about 15 months before Honnō-ji Incident. there are no way he can earn the title. (also back then the samurai title is way way harder )

Did the Chinese person ever visiting aztec, if yes then that's fine. The black of samurai is based on a real guy you make it sound like they just made him black for no reason.

Yasuke was a pet at best. The most famous thing about him was his surrendering to the opposing army. Making him of all historical figures, a main character is literal dishonor to Japanese culture.
