Am from Kolkata,and they are equally Indian as we are,they are living in india for more than 200 years and possibly contributed more into Kolkata economy than my Bengali family.But it may be happen that they violated some housing law or did not complete some bank loan,and that's why police is behaving harshly as same could be happen to us too in similar contex. And lastly they are probably not HAN Chinese they are HAKKA Chinese (samne name as HAKKA noodles) and they are extremely polite and fun loving. Hope things got resolved.
