Hello, do you know if warblers drink regular water or do they just drink sugary water? I found a sick looking bird and fed it regular water not realizing it is a warbler. It flew away, but I'm afraid I may have made it worse...

Someone please tell me the name of the bird making the sound at 23:01. I thought it might be the orial shown, but it doesnt seem to be.

The plan is to head down there in mid-March with family. In addition to many North American species I'm missing I hope to get the quetzel, other trogons, squirrel cuckoo, great currasow, sunbittern, southern lapwing, boat-billed heron, motmots, toucans, parrots, red-capped mannikan, three-wattled bellbird, black-faced solitaire (esp song), common tody-flycatcher, euphonias, yellow-browed chlorophonia, yellow-thighed brushfinch, Montezuma oropendola, bay-headed tanager and bananquit

Why was the camera zooming in and out and left and right? Strain on the eyes. Keep it steady and rock solid next time, or take still pictures and put names of birds underneath. You will have more people watching.

Just did some birding this morning and along with some other birds, saw a hooded and chestnut-sided warbler, which was nice. This video was good practice for migration season. It's harder as someone who's only been birding for a couple years to identify some of these warblers in the Fall where I live because they're not singing, nor are they in their breeding plumage. But it's still fun, and they're such pretty and charming birds.

I rehabilitated a male yellow bellied sapsucker named Twiggy. My cousin found him and brought him to me. I kept him for 3 days before releasing him. I'd make him tasty meals and syrup mixed with water and Gerber baby beef, veggies etc. Also he ate crickets off my hand and ate every one of them. He would sit on head pecking away and pulling up strands of my hair. We had other birds in separate enclosesures that kept him company. I was up early.and around the clock taking care of him. One time I was holding him and he made a squawk and flew at my eye and I said Twiggy, watch it now! 😂 he was lots of fun. I have pictures and a short video of him at the old house, but I can't go through my room until my mother has time.

Good review. Does the Slik head hold the cameral on the bird after you tighten down or is there movement? Nothing more frustrating that a head that slips a little after you tighten it.
