Seems like the insulation is very poor. When you talk inside the house it almost sounds like echoes.

CZcams served me this video after I watched plenty of KL and Bangkok real estate videos and I have to say that I'm very surprised by hearing that this is what you get for $900 in Cambodia. Not in a good sense.

For $900 per month, anyone can rent a much nicer and more comfortable apartment with air conditioners and with fully furnished furniture in one of the districts in Saigon (Hochiminh City), South Vietnam.

It's huge. That extra living area is funky and super useful. The kitchen/dining is flipping brilliant. The sofa and tv is awkward for a walk by from the bedroom, but could be re-arranged. Big issue in Daun Penh is parking for scooters etc. It might be a big problem with this apartment. And $900? Ouch!!

If you put the bed downstairs Yes cold air sinks but you'd waste a bunch of electricity getting it cool enough to circulate down and to the rear . Better to rig up a thick curtain along the railing in loft and trap Most of the cool air from the A/C set at a lesser setting .

Well done guys ! I'd like to caution anyone moving to Cambodia/ Thailand to always look for mold/ mildew before moving into a place..especially anything on the ground floor. I became deathly ill after living in a place for 19 months with hidden mold behind the walls, in the AC unit and drainage pipes. Some people know how to build to prevent the mold but in other places, especially on the ground floor where water and dirt are blown into the place and they often sit for months uncooled and empty, you really have to be careful. It's a huge problem in America, too, that most people don't know about. We build houses to be very tight and we think it's efficient but homes NEED to breathe or there will be mold/ mycotoxins present. I couldn't walk for several months and had severe memory loss, anxiety, headaches/ nosebleeds, etc. I finally got better when I moved away into a new condo, high off the ground and did intense daily sauna, steam, exercise, pool and many IV fluids with vitamins and peptides, etc. It's something most people do not know about mold and how dangerous it can be. About 24% of the population is also genetically vulnerable to mold and other bio toxins, they are unable to remove it from the body and it just recirculates in the bile over and over again and will not be removed without binders and sauna, etc. I LOVE Cambodia, it's my home away from home....but I have to be very very careful to find well-constructed places above ground/ elevated with no visible mold and musty smell. It's a challenge.

Thanks guys. Love your apartment tours! DP was our hood. That place is a 'mare. Good luck cooling it and good luck with the stairs and the shower with the blinds and the mirrors. Also no parking. That's a deal breaker right there. For 750? Yeah nah. View's nice but when they start building Pub Street below you...?

I watched so many videos about renting an apartment in Siem Reap from the states. Then I did it. I flew in ten days ago, got my apartment 6 days ago for $300 a month in Taphul village area. I've got a 12 X 3 foot private balcony on the street and a pool, water, wifi and cable all free. I'm home. I love it here. Thanks for the videos, I have 2 Aussie neighbors in the building, cheers.

What is the monthly rent? You said $900/week… very expensive… comparable to some part of US.

It's nice (and we lived in Daun Penh on and off for years and it feels like home there to us...or it used to) but it'll need aircon in the living area and both bedrooms for that price. Also the bedroom windows look into opposite apartments? That's dodgy as. And the split level floor in the living area is an accident waiting to happen. Btw, is there actually anyone who likes rain showers?

This is a great apartment at a great price. There is an AC in the two bedrooms but it seems that there is no AC in the living room. This is the second video of apartment in Siem Reap where I notice that AC is only in the bedroom. Is it the way things are in Cambodia?

It's great to see some of these places in 3D, I'm usually just browing the facebook rental listings thinking about coming out there. Is it really OK to wear shoes in the house like that? Sorry I'm not Cambodian so I can't be sure, but I had a very visceral reaction seeing it. I know in many stores in Cambodia, like open to the general public, we needed to take our shoes off to go in.
