    Climate psychos where do you think your electricity comes from and will continue to come from for the next 60 years? Answer: Mostly from Nuclear power plants and coal burning power plants. To continue to keep your viewers in the dark is disingenuous at best. Hydro? A small percentage. Wind? Also a small percentage. Solar? Also a small percentage. We all hope that in the future mankind will be able to harvest both the "light" from the Sun and the "radiation" from the Sun and when that day comes - in 50 to 75 years - we can all rejoice that we finally learned how to harness that great and powerful nuclear power plant in the sky. But if you are reading this, for THE REMAINDER OF YOUR LIFE you will be using fossil fuels. No amount of fear mongering or foolish optimism is going to change that. And as far as Electric Vehicles....? The same. You're looking at 50 to 75 years minimum. Most of us have places to go and work to get done and we don't have time to sit around waiting 2 hours for a car to charge. And for those who DO have that extra 2 hours each day, remember, you are charging your electric car with electricity that was GENERATED from Nuclear Power plants and Coal burning power plants almost exclusively. Not to mention the FACT that your electric cars USED MORE FOSSIL FUEL to produce. Wake up kids and join me in reality. Disney is a nice place to live but as an adult it might be time to give up the Goofy.

    what BS. I had a heat pump in the early 1980's, in Ottawa. It did not save me money! It broke down often, needed repairs, and I eventually got rid of it. I replaced it with a "clean energy" electric furnace. My god, running the electric furnace cost 3 times what my neighbours with gas furnaces paid! I got rid of that, for a gas furnace. Gas furnace is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Never breaks down, cheap to heat the house. Don't get sucked in by environmentalists with bottomless pockets of cash telling you to go to a heat pump; you will be sucked in paying way more than you need to to heat your house and maintain the equipment. Sure, no problems year 1 and 2 with a heat pump... but just wait. You will pay... and pay... and pay... as the heat pump gets a few years old.

      Always good to hear people's personal experience for sure. That being said, the technology has certainly improved in the past 40 years since you had yours. We now have very efficient cold climate options that can continue to provide heating even in extreme cold. And thankfully, for those like yourself that love their gas furnace, it's also possible use an ASHP with a new or existing furnace. It's called a hybrid system. The ASHP replaces the A/C and provide all your cooling, but can also provide a good chunk of your heating too so you're not locked into gas if the gas rates increase (and they recently got quite high but have cooled a little). If lowest operation costs were your goal, then there are thermostats that can control the ASHP such that it only every operated when electricity was cheap and the heat pump was cheaper than the gas furnace.

    • @adamhenderson7370
      @adamhenderson7370 Před 7 měsíci

      I agree there is no savings in Ontario. We recently installed a hybrid system with a seer 25 heat pump and our first month of electricity this past Dec was much higher than previously. Allot depends on the hydro costs, in this region it will not save you money period.

    • @erikjanssen6267
      @erikjanssen6267 Před 7 měsíci

      @@adamhenderson7370 I think the important thing to look at is changes in net cost. Yes, electricity consumption goes up because the heat pump consumes electricity. At the same time, gas consumption goes down. So the important question is then the net difference. It can be confusing for homeowners because the gas utility often estimates your bills based on past consumption (your gas bill indicates "Actual" or "Estimated"). If you install a heat pump, and your bill for that month is estimated, your gas bill will look like there was no change but your electricity bill went up. The gas utility will eventually settle up when they do an actual meter reading but it's frustrating to look at for sure. It's best to start directly submitting your meter readings to the gas utility.

    ALL BS.. if anything has improved it is a result of the insulation. The heat system is irrelevant if you cant keep the heat in .

  • @mcmaestro9443
    @mcmaestro9443 Před 9 měsíci

    Heat pumps are like a slow cooker. Takes time to heat up and best if you leave it at a consistent temperature. Dual fuel is best, gas furnace and heat pump.

  • @mcmaestro9443
    @mcmaestro9443 Před 9 měsíci

    A couple of things not mentioned, you may need to upgrade your electrical service to accommodate the heat pump. The external noise may be quieter but will be running all year round and can vibrate and get noisier over time. Unlike traditional AC units it blows forward and not upwards. In the winter it will blow cold air and hot air in the summer so be careful where you are mounting it. I would not recommend for older homes or poor insulation.

    MOE had put out the Guide To Eating Sport Fish in 1995 to 2005. The AOC Areas of Concern were in 1995. I went around with God in 2008 and God cleaned all 43 AOC up. There is no more contamination anymore. The Evil Spirit of Mountbatten did murky water only after that. I did a Sacred Sound out of Body at a Star Lodge with all All Native Tribes Six Nations and Ojibway and Navajo and Micmac and Canadians on Toronto Island in 2007 that cleared up the Toronto Harbour. Natalie Helferty the Holy Grail who worked with Jesus Christ at Star Lodge Prayer Teepee on Toronto Island The Meeting Place of Native American Indian Tribes. Catherine Longboat of St. Catherine's lead the Star Lodge a week long Sweatlodge and Teepee Prayer Ceremony to clean the Water of Lake Ontario. We did not get acknowledgement by TRCA even after the Toronto Harbour was clean water to see down to the bottom of the lakeshore. TRCA is completely devoid of Traditional Indigenous Knowledge and hasnt acknowledged all the Ceremonial Practices of the Native American Indian leaders. The Great Lakes Walk was by Catherine Mandemin who walked around each of the Great Lakes each year and did prayer to clean the water and told her story at the Latornell Conference and I was so interested that I sat with her and the Native Indians at their table. I was lead by My Holy Spirit to get involved in Traditional Native Indian Ceremonies. They work to heal the water. TRCA keeps talking nonsense as pseudoscience as data that will be the rationale of their existence as a Government Agency. They will not get anywhere with that approach. Traditional Aboriginal Knowledge and Ceremonies with Spirits and God as Christ the Creator work to heal the water and land and wildlife. We patiently wait for an awakening of the Spirits working for the British to stop their nonsense talking through Clones and Made Men and British Imposters of being Canadians. The Spirits are making up the data rather than being Spiritual with God.

    MNR shut down fishing 🎣 in the GTA 6 years ago. It is British who are continuing the takeover of TRCA in a Media War to subtly push back to promote fishing still. I as Queen of Canada stopped fishing and banned it in 1997 as it was too mean to fish when I fished one fish. I went back in time to say god Save It to the fish and God created it again and put the fish back in the lake. The fish were God created for lakes and rivers to eat insects created by the British Evil Spirits. Natalie Helferty Queen of Canada and Royal Chieftain of Indians of America Toronto Tribe Mohawk Hollywood Royal as the Holy Grail as known in King James Bible found in Presbyterian Churches.

I am still here! Waiting and Watching as Mohawk Chief of Toronto Royalty as Queen with the King and the Knights as the Crown and First Nation. God is going to be Christ the Creator. Without Interference. This War by British and their Evil Spirits started in 1902 against Us as Royalty of Canada with a coin of George VI who stole King George of Canada's Name as a Usurpation when He was 2 years old. He is George Washington and Saint George of Lake Saint George Conservation Area. Everybody of Mississauga Toronto and Oshawa Tribe are living in the Royal York now. There is no giving way to move off our land as Tribes. The TRCA takeover is one British Takeover. We will patiently wait them out. Charles III will not be His Majesty. Despite what British think. We as Tribes are Immortal. We will outlast him. We continue to do Movies and Music over Toronto as Hollywood North. There are no Immigrants left in Toronto. We hosted them but they were not real people but Spirit Made by the British. We are not fooled as Real Native People as Mohawk as Canadians. It is Crown Land and First Nation Land as Mother Earth. Nobody elses land in Canada. The Propaganda on Canadians was to make Mohawk believe that the were European Descendants as a Cultural Genocide of the Canadians as Mohawk. We are not buying into that anymore. We are Canadian Mohawk of Lake Ontario. This is Our Land! TRCA can go jump in the lake with their fishers and nonbinary people as all British Bullshiters.

    Important to note: The homeowner states that they upgraded the insulation in a couple of places. This is very important in older homes especially. Second, the comparison to the furnace is poor. Sounds like he is comparing an old single stage (on/off) furnace to new heat pump technology. A better comparison would be with a new modern multi-stage gas furnace to his new heat pump. New furnaces come with technology that addresses what the homeowner describes as a weakness.
