Absence of evidence and all that. Im also a scientist, but my view is that i cant really claim to know what i have no basis of knowing. Does logic dictate their is a god or an afterlife? Maybe not, and yet here we are, we are concious beings that somehow came to be. I wish i had faith enough in me to be at peace with not knowing. Or the resolve to accept only what i can prove. But i have neither. I think we should do what we find is rewarding and good for ourselves and others, And we should have compassion and hope for every day.
