Christmas Morning 2015! Awesome special day!

The kids open their Christmas presents Christmas morning! Boo got some Pokemon cards, clothes, Legos, DS games, a toothless shirt, an Astrid and stormfly necklace, and a strongbox cd. Briz got lots of littlest pet shop cats, Shopkins, a Zoomer kitty, some ever after dolls, Legos, and Palace pets. Dee got an indominus rex, a T.rex, Legos, star wars books, socks, a beloved chocolate orange, and some imaginext stuff. He loves the tiger tail I got! It was a fabulous Christmas. Boo wanted an Astrid doll but I couldn't find any that weren't $100-300 plus on e-bay- which is crazy for a $6. toy. She used to have one but she lost it because she'd take it everywhere she went.Merry Christmas everyone- we hope you are happy and healthy!

The family got a Street Hawk by Hot wheels for Christmas. This thing is awesome- Briz especially laughed her head off..it drives, it flies, it crashes and then drives some more. On Christmas Eve we let our kids open a present, or in this case the presents they get from their grandma. It was a little early, but they couldn't wait! Our family went to the wright Brothers Memorial and had so much fun learning about flight; seeing the replica of the plane, actually walking how far they flew on that day, and climbing to the top of the memorial hill. We hurried to see a turtle nest being excavated! They found over a hundred shells, with two baby leatherheads ones still under the sand!! The kids loved those cute things! Lighthouse bullet- gun!

We go to Bodie Island lighthouse- the kids wanted to go up it so we did! It was really neat. We learned some very interesting facts about lighthouses. We took a walk on the pier and Dee was telling all the fisherman if they didn't catch a fish that to get some meat they needed to buy a bullet gun to shoot the birds for meat. Crazy boy :)

Beach "Trip" to the Outer Banks!

We go on a trip to the outer banks, and when we get to the ocean, Briz trips out! She thinks it is so funny watching the waves get sucked back and keeps losing her balance! Boo gets freaked she'll wash out to sea! Boo loves catching ghost crabs (sand crabs). We eat at "Top Dog" restaurant, check out the beach house rental, and snuggle in for the night! We all had a very good day!

We went to an apple orchard and got to learn about different types of apples, how they are cleaned, and how to press them into apple juice! We also went on a hayride across the orchard. The kids loved the old-timey swings and the slushies! We learned apples have a natural wax that when rubbed looks like it is polished- or even shinier than waxed!

We took an awesome field trip to the Bayer bee care center. There we got to see a beekeeper open a beehive up- there were bees everywhere! We got to taste their honey and learn about how important they are to food production and what diseases are making bees sick. Did you know queen bees do not die if they sting?
