What about a WHII Statesman?
Great info.
you are supposed to used the dial indicator to show how much to take off - not just guess
What cam and exhaust is it bro
Excelente video…
This video is scaring the shit out of me 😅
Why one do you recommend for a Vf series one ssv with an l77 ls2?
You guys located in penrith nsw?
Yes
What were the power numbers!?
301kw/503Nm
Sounds fatal
Could I add procharger to vcm13 cam with higgins race heads ls1
Why the heck would you put the title if you are not showing the timing chain being replaced?
Nice Jono 👌
Now who in their right mind would even replace the oil pump in the fist place and not use good quality OEM products especially when it comes to oil etc? Also very interesting that you never ever try to pull out a lifter if it will not come out normally with a good magnet, thus requiring to take out the lifter by pushing it though after removal of the cam ,plus i wonder how much damage is on the cam lobes as well? Very Good Work is done at OZ track. 👌✌👍😀
Did this cause misfires?
what does a price look like for something like this to be completely fixed?
You probably already got a answer but for a shop I’d say 1500 in labor
"Really fun job " u got me man 😅😂🤣🤣💯💯
Promo sm
?
Tell em the price xxx
It is aud$979 inc the device to keep. Then minor updates are free forever. Other cars later are $485. You can data log racing or at a dyno etc and we update further for free
basically a 340kw engine as per factory specs at the flywheel ,so with headers and otr and tune they got 302 kw at the hubs ,but its the cost people around 1,000 dollars per 10 kw gains depending on who does the work? So this would have cost around 5 to 7K easy?
Gain of 20 rwkw on this freak ls3 from Otr and tune $1500. Now can gain another 20 from exhaust and another 30 plus from Cam
What sort of power did this put out?
302wkw 504Nm up 20 kw and 18Nm from the before. It just got OTR and Hub dyno tune. Stock cam so far
Take your back seat out and pull the circle bit of metal up and bam there your pump for ve
Jeezzz, stupid design... Why the hell would you design a car like that... Sure am glad I don't own one ...
Hi mate how much would it cost me to get it all fixed ?$$7950 -$9950 around that ?
Full engine rebuild with new bearings, pistons, rings and cam upgrade with dyno run-in and dyno tune is $11350 plus extras.
Well explained bro
My ve ss series 2 is an automatic I have had it from new always serviced at 10k never flogged it yesterday occasional flat floor,I have had a few mechanics look at it no noise sounds good, its got 220,000kms should I be worried or are the series 2 l77 engines different? And should I wait and fix it when it starts to become noisey and am I wasting my money at this point and electronically disabling the AFM
fix it when it starts to get noisy. But really at 220000 its cylinder sleeves will be worn and it will soon need a rebuild. Maybe wait until then. We rebuild with a cam upgrade from $11350 inc new pistons and a dyno run-in and dyno tune - changing out the afm lifters wont help it at all
Here's a OTR testing down by GM Performance, stock exhaust system and around 250KW at the rears, czcams.com/video/NG1yBr3k6DE/video.html So tell me for what around 4K of exhaust upgrades to get what a extra 25KW at the rears and, why to date not ne exhaust manufacture has made try y headers which produce perfect flow but more power and torque down low and not top end HP and very lininer power as well?
We see a gain from stock of around 40-50 rwkw from combination of Full Exhaust, OTR and Custom Tune. Tri-Y headers in theory are bvetter down low BUT in practise it doesnt work like that. It is do with tuned lengths in header primaries not just what fits. We see 25 rwkw approx from OTR and Tune in the 6L and an extra 20rwkw or more from Full exhaust.
@@OztrackTuning i know thats what i have said, its around ,1000 bucks for every 10Kw gained from exhaust otr and tune, at the rears? cheers each to their own, seen your web page and the cost is spot on around $5,800 for the 340pack ASM engine KW etc or 275 at the hubs approx, :)🚗🚗👍👍😎😎👌👌
Just the rear mufflers from DPE are around 1,200.00 dollars, plus add the centre section, then the euro 4 cats or 100 cell cats at over 900.00, plus the 4 into one headers that's at 1,200, all up its around 4.5k without fitment, then the otr which is 500.00 plus fitting and then a tune as well? So for near 5.5k you have headers and full exhaust system and tune for about 50Kw extra at the rear tyres, i worked it out its about 1000.00 per 10KW extra at the rear tyres, but hey each to their own ? So even a OTR and tune is around 1,500 bucks depending on who does it etc plus brand of exhaust system and fitting costs?
Our posted OZ340 or OZ380 starts at $5990 inc shipping. Gains are around 50 rwkw. The DPE Manta Pro have a 10 year warranty and dont spoil the car like some brands available.
@@OztrackTuning plus the $400 for hud dyno and different cost for the oztrack exhaust and flash tune which is $4,100?
@@7071t6 Custom Normal Tune is datalogged and almost the same as Hub Dyno Tune which is $400 more.
How did you get $1k per 10kW from $5.5k for 30kW?
@@stradivarius151 sorry it was supposed to be 50KW. cheers :)
Is this on a built engine or a stock engine what’s been done to this and how much does it cost to make this
It is a built stroker. see our page for engine builds we offer similar. store.oztrack.com.au/

if 4-5 lifters has a scratches, is this issue is serious and lifters need to be replaced ? i replaced only lifters' guides. Scratches are visible (mostly on non-afm lifters) but can't feel by fingernails, not so deep I mean
Yes replace the lifters every time the heads are off. The roller wheels are suspect to wear. Big check your oil change regime and filtration.
I used a nibbler tool. Made a hole in the floor and made a lid. 10 minutes and I had the fuel pump out. 3 min to put it back in. You can buy the pump and the filter seperate from the housing. Nibbler is good. The cutting part stays away from the wiring and the fuel line. And cuts throw it like butter. Now my fuel pump and filter are serviceable without spending a shit load of money.
We have made a tool that simply cuts a round hole in the floor in the right location. Usually when we do it we are put in 800,1000 or 1500 hp fuel pump systems in for forced induction applications.
Where do you cut it I really don’t want to do this the right way
And did it even fix the problem how gay
Yes it did, with sc upgrades you have to change the fuel pump on most VE models.
Sweet cheers whats sc upgrades
supercharger
@OztrackTuning is it 2 pumps? Or separate pump and filter? I have to do some bushes witch requires sub frame out so want to to pumps at the same time
So I’m a bit confused. On Mantics website they say “Perfect for a daily driver yet tough enough to handle any upgrades like superchargers, turbo, nitrous or strong N/A builds.” I was under the assumption ceramic clutches were not good for daily driving because they’re like on and off switches. Hard to get off of a incline or at a stop. Am I wrong?
These clutches are light , so in that sense they good in a tough daily driver. But yes they are quick in the takeup. But that isnt too bad. Nothing like brass button clutches of the past.
Did U ever run this at the quarter? What sort power this making? I have ls1sbe 238-242@112higgins race heads 30tho was told not to go to fast to much air speed?? 1000hp twin plate n magnum 6 speed 303rwkw with 411s she's fun
Sadly it didn't but with good traction it would have run low 11s. It made 315 rwkw though a 4000 converter.
wow thats a big job for such an easy fix think ill put mine into a shop and let them put it in
After change of spark plugs SV6 commodore vf. Now slight rough idle notice but drives and accelration is smooth like butter. whats cause???? idle sits on 550 and stable even on idle but i can feel slightly rough. no check engine lights no vaccum leaks
Maybe clean the maf and see if that helps

Intake manifold gaskets
@OztrackTuning sorry for this question if it sounds stupid but with that FAST manifold on, is it possible to fit the stock Holden engine cover back on?
Maybe but it might hide and clash with fuel rails
is it expensive
This problem should be a recall. My 2006 corvette oil pump had shavings from flat lifters {Exact same problem as yours}. GM lobbied and paid off the right people not to do a recall on faulty lifters/design which should have been done to address this problem. I got hi vol oil pump w nascar tube zo6 lifters & use castrol {porsche oil} instead of mobile 1. They paid GM for putting their logo on LS2 oil caps.
We commonly rebuild with better oil pumps like in the LSA and also use LS7 genuine lifters and then rarely ever see a problem with lifters

Please help me out. I have an ss 50k miles. Please help with this sound.
Sorry we didn’t see your message. I hope you contacted us directly
Hey just wondering if anyone can help with any info please, my lifters are very very noisy so I’m looking to replace them, iv been told it’s a waste of time not doing cam shaft at same time, is this true and is it just the cam shaft and lifters + tray I’ll need to replace or is there other key parts I should be changing at the same time, thanks in advance
Yes it’s likely the lifter has damaged the cam
How wood you go tuneing Nissan patrol gq ls1 super charged 4wd
We can tune it no problem call us.
Doesn’t sound fun ahaha 😤
Was gonna do this at home but now seeing this stuff that
all that to do a fuel pump of a filter, fuck me.
How much fuel did ol' mate have in the tank for ya? Usually they bring them in ¾ full and some more 😅
why go to all that trouble I just got out my Dremel and cut and inspection port on the floor under the back seat of my 2009 VE save 8 hours work, my 2007 VE had one cut in the floor so i copied it and saved heaps of time this method is to make money for mechanics
Is there a video on ur method?
