Technically not a big deal but you would want to have them replaced so no water, insects, etc. can get in there. -Todd

Insert a small screw driver or ball point pin into the two slots at the bottom of the thermostat. The cover will pop off and you can see the wiring and mounting screws. Swap wires out one for one on the new thermostat. Good to take a picture before you start disconnecting wires. -Todd

How do I check the fuse ? They all look the same to me

@@user-yz8rc3go7o if the AC is running and blowing warm air, then a fuse or breaker will not likely be the error. Have you checked the mixing divider to ensure air isn’t mixing? Covered at 4:30 in the video. Also, what is the temperature outside? It’s possible the unit froze up, can try to run just the fan on the AC and see if it defrosts and kick the AC portion on again. -Todd

Funny the override should have worked as long as the motor is operational. If both motors are still installed, I would suggest someone go outside on the side that is slow going in and push as hard as they can while someone is operating the switch. Beyond that, my question is when you performed the override on the board what was the result? Also, just to confirm you have removed the motors as instructed in the second video? -Todd

So we had a RV mobile technician come out and after disconnecting both motors, the lower corner of the slide is totally stuck. It cannot be moved manually at all. It’s going to need a major repair and new parts for the stuck corner. Estimate is $1,900 for parts & labor.

My husband is planning to do the repair himself.

@@kathypeaceful sounds like the system came off track at the bottom. There are replacement gear tracks for this system to where you don’t have to replace the whole vertical mechanism. I would call Lippert , they will ask for the tag info which will be on the interior of the unit behind the gasket. Give them that info and they should be able to help your husband out. -Todd

Thank you. As it turns out, our slide mechanism was manufactured in a time period when the production facility had “inconsistent handling” and Lippert is covering the cost of the repair!!! It was issued in bulletin TSB number 146-001-2022 on the Lippert website. Thank you for your assistance and for all the online forums that informed us of Lippert’s repair. It’s saving us thousands of dollars. And, the system will be changed from inverted to standard glides.

@@dangipson89 they have what’s called an energy management system, it will shed amperage and designate it to just the AC system, if you kick on the microwave it sheds it from the AC to microwave until it is done. It is a preventative system that works automatically to prevent overload. Not to mention in today’s RVs you have 12 volt fridges and tankless water heaters. So you have eliminated 2 major components that use to use a lot of amperage on your 110 system. So you’re not having to sacrifice much. -Todd

@@anner6342 is this an older unit? Is it possible the numbers have worn off? Could google the model number and find a replacement knob.

It will vary from one unit to the next, some slides are wall to wall and you can't access anything from the side. But sure if there is a will there is a way around removing the fascia, up to you. -Todd

@@thatdudergaming1424 you would have to drop the underbelly to access the motor directly. If it doesn’t have an override in the motor when you gain access you might have to remove the motor head and push the slide in. -Todd

The new 4 cylinders have more horse power and torque than the older v6 chassis. And it should definitely be adequate for hills or when driving 70mph and it’s capable of towing up to 5k lbs.

@@BryanChampion-l6t pressure test at the stove. Would need a monometer to test it. Do you hear any gas flow at the stove? Won’t light at all?

@@caitlinschneider4275 I’m assuming your motor is turning but nothing is moving? If so likely the gearbox is stripped out. At this point you would have to push the slide in from the outside which can be tedious. Best bet is to replace the gearbox if you can. -Todd

Angle of the camera can be deceiving. You are correct though, it should not angle up, you do have 1 1/4" of tolerance however. If you are over that amount when measuring the trailer when level against a measurement of the trailer hooked up then you should move the ball down 1 hole and up one hole if you are lower. We haven't done a video on install at this time, just how to hookup, but great point, thanks for watching and commenting. -Todd
