Hi, Sungrow does not recommend the SH10RT for off-grid use with a generator but rather the SH15/20/25T inverters

@@andrewthomson7554 I would use the generator only by energy shortages during an possible Brown or Blackout as an backup solution. Normaly my System works on-grid. Do I understand it right, it works with the SH10RT in an emergency situation may be for a short time and Sungrow has possibly optimized the new inversters and recommends them for permamently off-grid, right? Have you any experience with an SH10RT and a generator? Thx for the answer and the Video.

@@johnescobar3199 Hi John, the generator integration definitely won't work for on-grid situations even with the new models. When the inverters are installed on-grid, they are programmed with the grid safety parameters. Ie. Australia A. In order for the inverter to work with a generator, the inverter needs to be programmed that it is being used in a micro grid situation, this allows the grid parameters to widen and work with generators.

Hi Andy, each 5kWh SBH module has a nominal power of 3.52kW so you would want at least 5 for the 15kW hybrid and 8 for the larger hybrid to be able to achieve the inverters continuous AC ratings.

Hi, They are not always the same. In the case of the Trina Solar Vertex S+, it is Dual Glass, meaning glass on the front and rear face of the solar panel, but it can only receive light through the front face of the panel. This panel would not be classed as Bifacial. There are other panels that have glass on both faces, and the solar cells exposed on both faces of the panel. Those are an Bifacial Solar Panels. I notice that the clamp sometimes tilts sideways on a lap rib depending on the roof overlap design. I have also seen one roof profile where all the ribs top trapezoid sections are asymmetric so you can't avoid a clamp tilt. If a clamp is placed on a lap and then tilts, this will create extra pullout stress when it is twisted straight to align with the rails, especially when on a purlin. I have also seen some engineers instructions requiring the placing of clamps over purlins, however they made no mention of placing on a lap. It is hard to get a definitive answer for my roof as nobody can identify it.

Not really practical in rooftop solar plants. Clamping is a better solution there. For ground mounts, we can do bolting.
