Featuring Chief Meteorologist Dan Henry asking a Weatherwise question to Steve Eager in the 5:30 PM newscast along with a KDFW Promo and outro showing the very colorful studio lighting and a sunset. Recorded over the air with analogue interference to VHS.
KDFW VIPIR 4 Error - Hurricane Dolly 07-22-2008

While preparing to record VIPIR Radar from KDFW's then sub channel 4.2, the software crashes while monitoring Hurricane Dolly on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. There was never any audio on this sub-channel just a static radar image looped 24/7. I think one of my favorite things about this recording is the cylindrical icon for VIPIR on the desktop.

I've reuploaded this raw DV capture from a AG-1980 VCR for the best 480p quality available out of the thirty year old VHS.

I grew up in Frisco, I would’ve been in the 4th grade when this happened but I don’t think I remember this event specifically. I do remember the severe weather event we had a little earlier in late March and I remember another one where the tornado sirens went off in the middle of the night. Still awesome to find captures from DFW stations from my childhood era.
I remember seeing this weather in old fox 4 channel so I believe i was 7 years old seeing this oh my gosh it brings back my childhood memories
Ron Jackson, former meteorologist at KDFW for close to 35 years, passed away last night at the age of 67. He had a great, folksy way of delivering forecasts and severe weather coverage like this particular event. He will be missed...
This was when a high risk was issued for the DFW area (though it was a bust, but there was some isolated tornadoes)

There's something about these old, low-quality audio/picture clips that weirdly, I find satisfyingly saddening even if the video depicts something I was never aware of at the time, such as this event. That's why I don't wanna call it nostalgia, because it doesn't precisely trigger a specific memory... Though maybe it's the 'it being Pokemon' factor that indeed makes it nostalgic... Idk

Wish they would have kept Baron and gotten lynxs instead of WSI MaxStorm. They got Baron during the Tim Heller years. Then when he went to ktrk in Houston he took Baron down there. they also stopped using their live 4warn Doppler radar (250,000 watt unit) in Cedar Hill around the same time they went with MaxStorm.
So many stations now use WSI and nothing compared to Baron and Live Doppler. I’m sure stations blame it on the cost but weather in Texas changes in an instant.

@@sj7624was a 250,000 watt Baron Doppler. Since this event ALL DFW station who had a Live Doppler have gone to nexrad exclusively (WSI Maxstorm) except KXAS which has a 1,000,000 watt s band doppler in Ferris southwest of Dallas. KTVT hardly ever uses their 1,000,000 watt Baron Guardian radar in Weatherford anymore and WFAA Doppler North in Justin Texas has been taken offline too.

I lived less than a mile from this Minyard store in 2007. I drove down the street behind that store about 10 minutes before that Tornado hit. Very scary that day.

I had a tornado in Dallas but I was at the south, but I was safe, But if you have an encounter with a tornado, Go to a bathroom or closet. The bathrooms got some good walls so you will be safe there, Closet are very small so go to one so you can be safe. See ya!
Thanks for posting this I was in the 2nd grade and was staying the night at my grandmother's and we had the tv on fox 4 I lived in Grayson county at the time, and I remember seeing this exact alert on tv, I remember calling my uncle who was in the path of it as he lived in Denton county. Scary night.

While Yugi doesn't show signs of being a diabetic with high blood sugar or Diabetic Ketoacidosis, he does seem to show signs of Hypoglycemia, which is a type of type 1 diabetes that deals with issues with low blood sugar. Yugi has shown symptoms of these, including weakness, nervousness, shaking or trembling, rapid heartbeat, sweating, trouble sleeping and unclear thinking. Many of these major signs are clearly noted during the Shadow Game between Yugi and Pegasus at Duelist Kingdom, including passing out. Yugi has also showed slight signs after being drug to the basement of the Dark Clown game shop by Duke Devlin's father and seemed to be showing those very same signs when Joey asked Yugi, if he needed his insulin. Rather Kazuki Takahashi made an error and mistaken insulin for glucagon, since people with type 1 diabetes usually have Diabetic Ketoacidosis -who do need insulin- not Hypoglycemia, or Joey accidentally called Yugi's glucagon insulin. Though, since Kazuki Takahashi has not said anything about this, whether Yugi has Hypoglycemia or Diabetic Ketoacidosis, it is not clear why Joey would say insulin or if Yugi does have Hypoglycemia. This is only a guess based on the evidence shown in the manga and anime

Yup. He's diabetic. Kazuki Takahashi said so. It explained his short stature, and he supposedly showed signs and symptoms throughout the show.
You only use insulin when having a hyper and Yugi shows signs of having hypoglycaemia in which case glycerine/glucose would be needed not insulin. Doesn't make sense.

Popping in here four years later to let anyone mislead by this comment know that this isn't proven true, there aren't any interviews (that I've found) where Takahashi claims it is true. So it's safe to assume that no, Yuugi is not diabetic but rather it's a design choice for his timid nature, contrasted by Yami's slightly taller height whenever they switch in season 0.
