I just started a Personal Concierge and errands business in a rural area. It has been difficult finding stable clients. I have gone to festivals and fairs and put out info on Google, facebook, instagram, and linked in. Any tips for rural marketing?

I’ve been trying to look into starting a concierge business, after extreme burn out working from my social work job at an agency but I’m getting all sorts of discouragement. I even tried to talk to a business consultant and he told me I should just go work for a home care agency. I’ve tried to look into whether to file for a DBA or an LLC but I’ve been told one thing to another. I wish there was someone in this field I could talk to.

Ours is definitely a profit organization, not a nonprofit. I’ve given so much of my time. So much of my money. Onto these expensive events and fundraisers brought in several new members in less than a year and I got nothing.

I gave and I gave, and I gave, and I gave at my local local chamber. I subscribed to, and it gave every single one of the businesses in their business. I sent them tons, a referral I personally use their services, even though they were expensive and wasted my time nobody ever bought anything from me. I’m a financial advisor at the one on one with another member. She told me monthly that I don’t even know why there are so many financial advisors or not to be rude. I’m not gonna use you. I told her yes there are many financial advisors, but less than 10% make it past year three. I have been doing this for 30 years.

This was a GREAT video because I was going to just quit my job!! But I think I should sacrifice another year and a half go hard in saving and try to work my business on nights and weekend so that when I do quit I can focus on biz not stressed over $

I started with vacationer's services and organization/decluttering, but after having some struggles keeping a steady income with that model (and watching a bunch of these videos) I have expanded to a more full-service concierge model.

Since you have gotten concierge business insurance, please share your insurance provider. It's nice that you specify what type of insurance but the real problem I'm having is finding a provider who has done this before and is familiar with it. I see that you provide a list in your kit. I don't really want to buy your kit at this time, but if I have to in order to get the list, can you let me know if your list has providers for coverage in Arizona?

Great video, Kelly! As a personal concierge for seniors, I love staying informed with services that cater to seniors and aging in place adults. I live in Florida and the insurance for transportation for clients is very high. Just a note to those who would like to include that as a service, you can still provide transportation if your client has a vehicle. I've done that for a couple clients. Thanks also for talking about End of Life Doulla. I had no idea that special service existed. Thanks again for all your informative videos! You rock!
