Could have demonstrated the pilot control, cross traffic features also. I’ve had one for a few months had the v60 cross country which was nice but this v90 is a more comfortable ride and the extra space is handy.

My D5 XC70 certainly holds on to lower gears when it need not. I sometimes use the "manual" mode to push it up a gear or two but am not in the habit of doing it. I will have to try using it more often, currently it is doing about 37mpg. I knew that an AWD automatic would have a fuel consumption penalty but did not expect it to be quite so bad. Not grumbling, just an observation, my Vectra C estate (manual) readily did 54mpg or better on a run. If the Volvo did 45 I would be delighted.

what if I use 5w40 for volvo v40 D2?. It's summer now so temperature is high

A fixed towbar can also seriously reduce the damage if someone happens to accidentally and gently hit you in the back.

Yeah that’s the problem with black colour, the dirt is very noticeable you need to do wiping a lot of times. White and silver hide the dirt much better.

17 plate here and I don't have the side mirror function when reversing. 😢anyone else? I don't think it is a standard in all v40s?

Interesting video. Most of these hidden secrets are in the owners handbook and some of them depend on the specification for the car, not all of them have the pre-heat option for instance.

After two sets of racks that we're guaranteed to fit my car....... But definitely did not... I found these I did write to the company about the water wicking into the car. They said unfortunately that is just one of the downsides. So I looped my straps through a plastic trash bag and didn't have an issue. Also, hubs is 6 ft 4 and all he had to do was put his seat back (which he already does) and it didn't touch his head at all. I bought mine previously owned off Poshmark so I just went to Harbor Freight and bought a set of Cam straps as mine didn't come with the separate straps. We haul our oversized pop up Gazelle tent and a camping chair on either side and we're good. Nothing totals over 40 lb. And the racks are I believe rated for 70 or 60. This leaves more inside room for our cooler and wagon & other essentials we like to take on vacation. Thanks for the video... Even if I am 4 years late 🤣

The D4 AWD and D5 AWD ar e both 5 cylinder. Its so on their AWD D4 and D5. Its only the software for horsepower that differs. The earlier XC70 D4 2wd D4 was a 2,0 5 cylinder. Then it changed it to a 4 cylinder VEA engine on the D4 2wd. But all AWD D4 and D5 are 5 cylinder 2.4 liter

Hi guys, I have a question: I have a 2011 V70, exactly the same interior as your S80. My Cruise Control only makes 1km/h-steps, but after the manual it should make 5km/h-steps. Did I miss something? It’s really annoying, especially while driving on the highway…

Guys it's all fine and dandy. But all those excuses together. Don't clear the FACT. That the automatic feature could be defaulted to the driver intentions. Or simply connected to the outside temperature. Which is readily available on the sensors. Whatever the excuse it's still stupid. BTW I drive mine, mostly, in the cold Norway. So I'm totally aware of the low temps/snow/ice "detail". It's simply stupid. Let alone the thousands located in places where they never saw snow or ice. Oops! For the brain dead claiming it's nice like this. Let me ask. Don't you people find "strange" the most evident feature of the automatic system is being manual?!! The same way that to change the language. Need the "official" dealer software or the expensive equivalents. I was quoted about 5000Nok ~ 450€ just a couple of weeks ago!! In any other car, inclusive with the exact same powertrain, gearbox, etc. ANYONE can do it with the normal dash selection buttons. Wow! Amazing. Imagine being able to set your own vehicle, without running to the dealer every time!

My Cadillac also has a transverse mounted V8 4.6 L. I don’t know about how it’s angle though.

If you know how to maintain a car this is a very reliable engine . I have a friend with an F11 5 series it has this engine 320D and it has 650k KM and its still running great ! Oil changes are made yearly at 10k km, 2nd timing chain which has improvements over the factory one lasted him 350k km.

Bought a 2006 V70 2.4d (face-lift?) Euro 4 I think... I'm worried I've bought the wrong one 😢.. Engine System Service Required message already on and no power over 3000RPM... Taking to local garage tomorrow, I'm told it's probably swirl flaps need replacing 🙄🙄
