I am an animator here. Not a professional one, but enough to know that the lighting has gotten significantly worse. HOW DID THEY MAKE THE LIGHTING LOOK WORSE THAN 2010? Also, the tennis balls just appear out of nowhere. This could've been fixed in less than 5 minutes. All they needed to do was to add like 5 keyframes per ball.

I feel like they could've at least TRIED to make somewhat of an effort and made something that remotely resembled the first movie by respectfully casting Megamind as Will Ferrell but even then the movie would still be complete asinine with this writing. Everything just feels off. The animation style, the voices, this "Doom Syndicate". It all really does feel like a cash grab. The first Megamind had an actually compelling story and interesting characters. It had a moral to it. This doesn't look like it has any sort of compelling story. It feels like a lousy after-story that didn't need to exist but does anyway. I could be completely wrong and I'm not trying to hate too much. Prove me wrong if you feel like this has some sort of assemblance of a compelling story. Maybe I'm just not seeing the potential but it just feels wrong.
