    I've been using single hose in my RV lately. My old and janky RV rooftop A/C's have recently started having issues working correctly under the sun and in the heat (back) and the other one broke down (front) & way to expensive to replace. So I found a way to inexpensively replace air conditioning inside here. But the single hose portables suck and underpowered (found this out the hard way) and why they don't work properly like a dual hose. I found out (the hard way) about what your explaining in this video. So I recently bought a dual hose (the Midea Duo) I hope it cools my inside down better than my weak single hose ones. Its twice as powerful than my single hose units combined. And I bought a heavy duty Window AC that I'm putting in my bedroom window (emergency pop out window of the RV). I'm needing to do a a simple hack modification but its being put in. I like your advice about the filters. thanks for sharing I think that way too along the lines of sucking in mold & dust that help with eliminating or reducing sucking it in both the dust & whatever else polluting inside both the unit and the room. Great video Thanks for sharing. I wish you success for your channel. I'll be watching your videos here on your channel.

    Hey this is the first video I watch from your channel and I'm very impressed with all the information. I'm the founder or AirDeveloppa, we are a Thailand based air quality company that have developed an affordable yet effective air purifier similar to the ones you shared. Biggest difference is that we used a cylindrical filter and a single PC fan. I wanted to share some thoughts from my perspective as someone developing and selling products in this industry. I align with you in searching for the truth trough research and not falling victim of marketing non sense. However I must say that the current situation is a result of standard capitalism. For example, if I were to offer MERV filters and exclude carbon activated (my current filter is H11 with carbon activated), it will be considered inferior by the market. Even thought objectively and scientifically a MERV filter with hight CADR is better. It is sad but it is the truth. People buying in Amazon will compare 99.97% vs 90% fine particles filtration efficiency and immediately choose the one with the highest number. Another thing to consider. Adding more air purifiers doesn't always fix the problem and it can even make it worse if your house is not well insulated and there is polluted air outside. By having a lot of air purifiers you create a lot of negative pressure and as soon as a door is opened, a big chunk of air from outside will be dragged in to equalise the pressure. The best solution for this is a possitive pressure system where you filter the air outside and bring it in. This is better also in terms of CO2 concentration. Of course this system is more expensive and requires opening a hole in a wall. Thanks again for your video, it has been very informative and useful to me

    I think the fallacy here is you're comparing the airflow between the two filters for the same size. To get the same amount of airflow as the MERV13 filter, I would need a larger HEPA filter. If we get big enough HEPA filter which gives us as much air flow as that of the (smaller) MERV13 filter, won't we get the best of both worlds?

    • @HealthyHomeGuide
      @HealthyHomeGuide Před 5 dny

      There’s no fallacy here. For starters, 4 large, good quality HEPA filters (that are actually HEPA grade) would be extremely expensive. Using HEPA is not necessary to achieve high CADR, regardless of particle size, so there’s really no advantage to using HEPA in this context. Cost per CADR is so much higher with HEPA. The restrictiveness of HEPA is an asset in some contexts, but in this context, the most efficient filter possible isn't necessary or optimal. You need a balance between airflow and filter efficiency - MERV-13, being a less efficient filter, happens to strike that balance very well, as engineer Jim Rosenthal says. As a result, cost, noise level of the fans, energy efficiency, and CADR are improved. Why pay more for no benefit?

    CADR is like with cars where faster cars may have lower MPGs but if what you want is fast acceleration then you'll want the car with more horsepower even if it's less efficient per mile. Why would you buy a really efficient car if it's slow and what you're going for is fast acceleration?

    First, I want to start with the good, I love how you attacked the issue.. Clean air is a huge talking point in the wood working world but no other space I've ever occupied. Matt Risenger another youtuber does talk about it with construction from a building science perspective, I would check out his content, there are tons of things off gassing in our houses killing us slowly. I am currently in the process of remodeling my kitchen to get rid of my gas appliances. So back on track, the research was great, you're spreading wisdom and awareness, in service to your fellow consumer/humans. I dig it. A lot. Thank you. My nitpicks... I feel like you're a little harsh, sure some of these companies lie and mislead. But most people don't give a flying F about this topic. Even once aware. Most manufacturing is not a massive lab doing hard science leading to high quality products. Things would be a lot more expensive in general (and that sucks) all life is a balance between making things better, and giving people what they want. Car guys cry about how poorly cars are made. I point out all the time that these companies have INSANE ability to produce engineering marvels. The problem is not the car companies them selves. Its what people are willing to buy. Most people are not willing to buy something for 10X the cost, and even at the prices these companies are hiring people at, its till hard to find qualified staff. No one wants to work for free. So do companies slap lip stick on a pig to get us to part with our money? Yes, you're not wrong. I think the problem is not the companies its the consumer. This research has been going on a while, this problem didn't pop up today, people just don't place value in the correct places. Most people are excited to get a new set of Nike's or a new Purse they don't need. I would take the anger you have and redirect it towards your fellow man. Because one thing I could bet you a million dollars on. If all the sudden in door air quality became important to most Americans, with in 24 hours we would see a dozen manufactures making beautiful, low cost (relatively speaking) well functioning air purifiers that beat the breaks off what we have now. We just need more awareness.

    • @cleanairkits
      @cleanairkits Před 5 dny

      The pandemic caused a scientific paradigm shift (or reversion to old miasma theory) that most modern respiratory diseases are airborne. Then the quieter, more energy efficient pc-fan + merv13 air filtering method means we can greatly reduce household transmission ("secondary spread") of colds, flu, covid, strep, etc with very little energy. Every American would be excited about getting sick less often if they understood this possibility.

    Interesting that they dont have stuff like the IQ Air Health Pro Plus on any of these charts. Systems like that have high surface area and powerful motors. Granted they are expensive systems but those are HEPA air filters that work.

    The majority of those HEPA filters on places like Amazon just are not well designed for filtering. Especially those like Levoit (and many many others) that have that design, have flow by (air that goes through the motor but doesnt actually get filtered), and are really just designed to be maketable.

    Glutathione IV's in high doses will bee your best friend in detoxification of mold. Took my two years to start feeling my best and its a job everyday to stay healthy. Good Luck🙏🏼

I hope this is accurate info, I like all the sources you provide. Hopefully you will get a discount if wee give them your name. Thanks and good luck with the mold healing 🙏🏼
