I’m very sad to see any place in Dayton to look like this. I lived on Brown Street back in the early 70s with my parents and never did I ever see nothing like this on Brown Street or the alleys there sad so bad now live in Tennessee and what a beautiful place Love it would not go back today specially, after seeing this stuff wow.

I don't see anything so bad. There are a few abandoned houses but that's a sign of the times. I lived in Dayton most of my life and the east side was never paradise but there were some hard working people living there and they did their best to raise their families right.

I know that's the government involved in trash, violence, infrastructure unrepair, etc. They do the same shit up here in Detroit. How folks know every nok & cranny in the hoods, ghetto, & country of Detroit? They know areas I didn't even known or ben 2. It's only the bad neighborhoods they do it in but more than one time they would hit up a good lookin middle class neighborhood 🤬. Like mine down the street from my house a year or 2 ago 🤬. And my neighborhood iz famous for Motown, hip hop, rock ñ rock singers, rappers, dancers so WTF? They do it here they will hit up any middle class hood next to the poor ones 🤬

Two years later and it's not gotten much better. The amount of trash I see in the allies and sidewalks in my neighborhood (Walnut Hills) is infuriating. I've literally seen cars stop, roll down their windows and just dump their McDonald's trash on the road and then take off. It makes my f'n blood boil. Props to guys like this that at least try to clean some of this shit up.

I began in Trottwood and ended up in Huber Heights. The area is not bad but some get into bad situations. One of the largest storage's of cocaine was in Dayton, many had no idea it was the gateway to the Midwest but that went for drugs too. The city needed that at the time because the 80s marked the end of good jobs and disposable income for black folks. I pray things begin to change for this young brotha and his people. I dated a girl from a town 4 miles over on 202. Troy was a great place and they have that Honda plant paying 26 dollars an hour. Just a tip, Sidney and even Lima are outstanding places for good jobs.....the rest of hoio aint hiring black folk....kentucky flooded it with biker racist tards.

Back in the day that eas a thriving community. Still ignored by the local govt. The white hillbillys got all the love...not us. We still haf pride because you can come from the south and enter upper middle class right away. Once 1980 hit and regan began his reign all the steel mills clised taking dependant business with it. Wealth folliws wealth so time to leave bro. Its almost 40 yrs past your time. Jobs aint coming back there. At least not yet. Looks alot like jackson missisipi to me but enjoy it.....or mive to Troy its much ckeaner and has them 28dollar an hour jobs.

Not as bad as places like Gary, but that's nasty. Your vehicle needs ball joints. If you ignore that squeaking noise, they will eventually fail and that's dangerous. This is from a 30 year's experienced auto mechanic

Owners either do not have the money or they recognize that to put a lot of money in a property that is not not worth much is a losing cause. Most of these houses would need custom made windows just for starters

Ms Ronda i want to thank you for your comment. I have worked in these areas for 9yrs as a landscaper and contractor. Having to feel the affect of life after Covid was horrendous. Surviving Dayton Ohio was birth out of emotion, anger from the loss of lives, and the disregard for health ,cleanliness. The humanitarian in me gave me the strength to battle the war on trash and abandonment. Everyday i feel defeated but never quit and your comment just gave me new strength to keep the fight going because we need mire people like me who never turn a blind eye to problems.

The best visions are out of this world, my friend. Keep doing you, stay kind & creative & all your dreams will come true. Dayton can get us down, but the whole world owes Dayton thank-yous on a daily basis. Nearly everything that has allowed us to progress, comfort & transport us, & so much that people touch or interact with daily was born from the minds of Daytonians. There is magic here, it's just been distorted, manipulated or covered up, but it's still here & it will shine brighter again, as long as we don't let the ugly get to us or keep us down. ...I looked for your email, but you don't have 1 posted under the About screen, so I apologize for sending this via a comment. Do you print t-shirts or sweatshirts for clients? I know the POD companies online, but I also think I'd like to work with someone local. If this is something you do, please email details to theprofessorpatti at gmail.
