West dayton and east dayton with a few exceptions are terrible places to live.

I’m very sad to see any place in Dayton to look like this. I lived on Brown Street back in the early 70s with my parents and never did I ever see nothing like this on Brown Street or the alleys there sad so bad now live in Tennessee and what a beautiful place Love it would not go back today specially, after seeing this stuff wow.

Life long daytonian, born in 63, hard to belive its come to this in 61 years. Ive swore im gonna get out of ohio many times. But dayton is home. And i wonder, why should i leave, isnt that what started this.?.

I don't see anything so bad. There are a few abandoned houses but that's a sign of the times. I lived in Dayton most of my life and the east side was never paradise but there were some hard working people living there and they did their best to raise their families right.

I know that's the government involved in trash, violence, infrastructure unrepair, etc. They do the same shit up here in Detroit. How folks know every nok & cranny in the hoods, ghetto, & country of Detroit? They know areas I didn't even known or ben 2. It's only the bad neighborhoods they do it in but more than one time they would hit up a good lookin middle class neighborhood 🤬. Like mine down the street from my house a year or 2 ago 🤬. And my neighborhood iz famous for Motown, hip hop, rock ñ rock singers, rappers, dancers so WTF? They do it here they will hit up any middle class hood next to the poor ones 🤬

Two years later and it's not gotten much better. The amount of trash I see in the allies and sidewalks in my neighborhood (Walnut Hills) is infuriating. I've literally seen cars stop, roll down their windows and just dump their McDonald's trash on the road and then take off. It makes my f'n blood boil. Props to guys like this that at least try to clean some of this shit up.

I grew up in the Wayne and Wyoming neighborhood. It's always nice to look back and see the streets where I once walked.

I began in Trottwood and ended up in Huber Heights. The area is not bad but some get into bad situations. One of the largest storage's of cocaine was in Dayton, many had no idea it was the gateway to the Midwest but that went for drugs too. The city needed that at the time because the 80s marked the end of good jobs and disposable income for black folks. I pray things begin to change for this young brotha and his people. I dated a girl from a town 4 miles over on 202. Troy was a great place and they have that Honda plant paying 26 dollars an hour. Just a tip, Sidney and even Lima are outstanding places for good jobs.....the rest of hoio aint hiring black folk....kentucky flooded it with biker racist tards.

We still haf pride because you can come from the south and enter upper middle class right away. Once 1980 hit and regan began his reign all the steel mills clised taking dependant business with it. Wealth folliws wealth so time to leave bro. Its almost 40 yrs past your time. Jobs aint coming back there. At least not yet. Looks alot like jackson missisipi to me but enjoy it.....or mive to Troy its much ckeaner and has them 28dollar an hour jobs.

The pepole that need help cant get it but the ones that cume to this country have no problem getting help free medical food stamps but the people like the elderly get very little you got some households thats got 2 or 3 families liveing there and they all get goverment assistance

Your mayor or goverment dont care it depends on what class you are in if you live in a high class nabierhood they care but if you live in a lower class neaiberhood they dont caer

The elderly should't have to clean up after the pepole that makes the mess but they do becase there the only ones that care

When all the big companys moved out the pepole stop careing and then started moveing away the the drugs moved in and the homeless

Between the drugs and the crime hell you cant even go out and set on the porch for the fear of being shot at your kids cant play out like they use to cause of the cars flying up and down the street like there going to a fier or of being snatched up cause the cops dont portal the streets like they use to its a pity people treat there city like this

Pepole dont caer what it looks like the city the homeless and the drug heads have destroyed it the city dont clean nothing up they dont in force none of the laws about keeping your property clean and the trash picked up the homeless and yhe bumbs dig through your trash and leav a mess and trash everywhere if the city dont care why should the people

People pill there yards up and cars setting on the street that dont even run the city dont get on pepole the way they use to abot there yards

The bad thing is you got all the homeless and drug attics diging throu the trash a breaking in all the empty house's they leav trash everywhere

Dunno about some of this. With Intel moving in, a LOT of new businesses are coming in. Marion is seeing a resurgence, and I expect that Dayton could be seeing it too.

A lot of the places shown here in Dayton look pretty damn nice compared to the rest of the US.

Do you live in dayton ..that city has some great places and programs...stop focussing on the bad so many beautiful places in Dayton..find the good
