Looks good. I have hearing loss and the background music makes your words hard to understand.
You didn’t show what pressure you charged the tank to. Your system is ~120psi, which is too high, anyways, but you can only charge an expansion tank to a maximum of 80psi. What did you do? Incorrectly charge your tank to ~120psi, or lower you your system pressure to a max of 80psi and charge the tank correctly?
that is crazy high pressure might be reading pressure before the pressure reducing backflow preventer valve which is why you would need an expansion tank you could just put pressure gauge right on hot water tank to see what it is there then set expansion tank a bit lower. seems like an oversized tank for hot water heater.
Thank you!!! I just fixed my van window by using this video and now, not only does my family think I am a hero, but my wife now thinks I’m a real man’s man because I fixed the car.!
Meta Quest 👍
I'll
Gracias por el video
Great video thanks for your knowledge bro just saved $100 for 10 minutes of watching
Thank you for this video. I just did this job yesterday on my 06 Sienna. It was the same problem where the end bolt to the window track loosened up and fell into the bottom of the door. Put it back and tightened it with thread lock. Window works like it should now. Thanks for the help.
That expansion tank won’t work because your water pressure is higher than the tank, but it’s too high. The tank should be same as water pressure.
You save me probably $300 / $500 and furthermore I felt so proud of my achievement! Thank you!
Very helpful. Thanks.
No talking, just a man working. Nice job!
This is a good video and helped me with my 2007. The black triangular plastic at the front corner of the window will pop off - it just has one of those push in clips. Just pry it off first thing. This makes it way easier to get the door panel off and back on.
helped me out, thanks.
Music too loud, could hardly hear you, mo music better to hear and follow you
What if the track won't come down? What then?
That's where I'm stuck
that expansion tank will fail too. You need to lower the pressure in your house. It should never be 80 or above. If you have a pressure regulator on your water line coming into the house, you need to set it to around 65lb. If it won't set, replace it. If you don't have one, get one. You are going to have leaks and maybe even broken pipes
Thanks. I dont know anything about those, but I'll look into it. Is it hard to do? video recommendation?
Look up pressure reduction valves. Usually they are mounted outside the house where the house shut off valve is. In cold climates this could be in the basement where the water line comes into the house.
@@Grant.Miller Also, there is often a front hose bib that is before the PRV and it will read the street pressure. Just to be sure, check your pressure from another another fixture. Then if its still that high, you def need to have a PRV installed or replaced if you have one already
Great video!
In your garage, you don't have an air compressor? Lol!
One of the.best videos yet.
Thank You Very Much for this video. I followed your very clear instructions to disassemble and fix and reassemble my 2006. On mine the bolt did not fall out, rather the glass came out of the U shaped channel that holds it. I pushed it back into place and used epoxy on it.
How has that worked out for you since you made the fix? I've got the same problem, wondering how important it is to use the proper adhesive (polyurethane I think?) vs something else.
Thanks very much for the clear, step-by-step instructions. 2008 Sienna is same.
Wonderful. You did a terrific presentation and narrative. I am putting rust proofing in the bottom of the door. Music was great.
The most important thing isn't explained clear or shown. what bolt? does the window just sit on the track or is there some sort of bolt or mechanism that tightens onto it? Thanks
I should have shown that part better. At 4:34 you can see there is a black metal piece attached to the window glass. That piece is supposed to be attached to the silver rod with the bolt. That bolt somehow got loosened and fell out. It was at the bottom of the door in my case. Here is a link to a screenshot. drive.google.com/file/d/14-KNTEZxaWddNsot3DRkcVJzn32BkEQy/view?usp=drivesdk
@@Grant.Miller thanks so much dude! You rock 🎸
@@Grant.Miller wow so the window really does just rest on top of it. I guess the weight of the glass is enough. Thanks so much for clarifying. Much appreciated man!
Thank you so much for the information 😀😀😀😀😀
Appreciate you posting this. The same screw came undone for me, and I ultimately realized that one side of my window became misaligned within its track. I had earlier jumped to the conclusion that I needed a new motor and/or regulator. I went ahead and replaced them after I realized the window track issue, since the van is 14 years old now, but this video was my “go to” tutorial for opening up the door. 👍 Thank you!
Thanks so much for your easy to follow video. I was able to pick up a window at the boneyard and put it in myself!!!
Thank you I saved $200 because of your video
Thanks Grant for the great fix it video! Thank you James Vera ( who commented below) for the idea of greasing the rails and linkage- did it! I also tightened the other bolt- which was loose- while I was at it! And yes, this fix it video shows how to get the track bolt back in place. FYI: I had shut the driver door after getting in the van and heard a sound like something had fell out, metal like, got out of the van looked around found nothing. Thought nothing more of it. Later that day I 'rolled' the window down and saw it was 'off track', panicked , since I could no longer get the window all the way up, and imaged we would be using duct tape and plastic until getting an appointment to get it fixed! My wife suggested youtube. Thanks again Grant!
Thank you, man! You've saved my day!
Very helpful, and thank you for not shaking the camera.
Thanks for sharing. I lked the music.
Great vid. Thanks! I didn't remove the last bolt under the handle. Just left that bracket on... not sure that was a good move in retrospect. Also, didn't unplug the speaker, just unbolted and moved it out of the way. And was mostly able to leave the door handle (the part that opens the door) attached. I strugled getting the window back into the track on both sides. I had to get it at an angle and even when I thought it was in in the front, it was still pinching and binding. Also, probably didn't watch the video well enough, but getting the panel back on in the front up by the side mirror was a pain. Get the front in first. Thanks again!
Very helpful., thank you.
great Ministry , H.A.N.D.S on International.
Thank you! Helped so much! Saved me such a headache
Thanks, It helped me fix the same problem in a 2004 Sienna. BTW, I'd suggest greasing the rails and linkages while in there.
I have the same defect. Why does this happen in the first place? Seems to be a very typical defect, I have seen this on other vans.
Very helpful! Thanks!
Nice video, thanks for sharing it. Is it really necessary to remove the speaker?
Patrick Murphy removing the speaker gives you access to the window track near the front of the car.
Love the content, but the music is unnecessary.
Let me have my jam
Watching your UTube gave me all I needed to do the job myself. My 2005 Sienna is the same as 2006. I'm sure I saved a few bucks by doing it myself. Thanks for your posting.
Great to hear.
lame
It's awesome that she came out. I bet Priscilla is happy, too.
