Ruger American 22LR Feed Issue Resolved
zhlédnutí 3,4KPřed 3 lety
Many rounds would jam as I cycled the bolt forward on my Ruger American. Seems to be a common issue. Replacing the stock fixed it up even though the magazine still has plenty of play.
Solar Water Pump for the Garden

This is a solar powered pump to allow watering from the rain barrels to the garden. It’s a 12v marine pump, 7Ah battery and 8w solar panel. It produces plenty of pressure.

DON'T BYPASS a Polaris RZR 570 Brake Light Switch
zhlédnutí 3,1KPřed 3 lety
The previous owner of my 2013 RZR 570 bypassed the brake pressure switch. This caused the brake lights to be on all the time and melted one of the lenses.
Folks that leave the ignition on are usually yank and dont have a clue of the consequences. Prone to leaving them idling forever too for some strange reason.
It's my mission to own one of these this year. 1st bike.
Range and tank size please!!!,
17 litres/4.5 USG plus reserve, about 350km/220mi
Can the headlight be replaced with something more modern looking?
Are they more expensive to maintain then a regular duel sport, say a Honda or KTM?
I'm looking at an identical bike right now. Do you still recommend for a beginner? Also do they all have heated grips? Last question... Is there cruise control? Oh.. one more... Fuel gauge?
i have the f650gs dakar (2007), it has no cruisecontrol (you can put after market throttle lock though), Mine has Heated grips with 2 heating levels straight from the factory and no fuel gauge, just a fuel light..tank is 17l
Thanks for that information, my ranger 800 has this switch /sensor problem now .
Hello Mark, great looking bike, how is your bike doing? I'm looking at one ,do you still recommend it ? thank you
I recommend it, but be sure to match the tires for the type of riding you are doing. The bike will do anything but the tires won't!
4 years of owning never had a problem
Dang, I was looking at getting one of these. Such a shame, guess I'll look to another manufacturer now
Mine has been perfect since the repair. I would consider another one. I think I just had one of a bad batch.
Leads me to believe Ruger does not test fire it's rifles. Either that or they just want to make a quick buck. Shame on Ruger.
I bought one of those, had the same issue, shop sent it away, came back still had same issue, took it back and the shoo guy and I looked at 3 other brand new rugers the same in the store and they all had same issue. Mag would drop down at front end and bullets wouldn't feed into chamber. The guy said to me, well it looks like you're not buying another ruger. I said no. I bought a Tikka .22 bolt. Seems like ruger is made cheap in China now!
Hi! Which tires do you have fitted? I noticed that she is with central stander on a piece of wood 😊. I have the same “problem” now; I had Metzeler Tourance before and was no problem to spin the rear wheel. Now I have Mitas E07 and I can’t do it without the wood because the tire is touching the ground 😊. I have only 400 km with Mitas and until now I’m happy with them. Nice rides!
The wood is just for my soft gravel driveway so the stand doesn't dig in. I don't need the wood in the garage. The rear tire is a Bridgestone Trail Wing 152, 130/80/17. It turns freely on the centre stand without the wood.
Tbh it has a timeless look, it will look good even in 20 years
Yeah, mostly but the front lamp is so bad ;/
Does it feel heavy on travel? How is it on the freeway?
Does not feel heavy at all. Fuel is below the seat for low centre of gravity. Tires are 50/50 so not so good on the highway. For more highway riding you need more appropriate tires.
thanks for the info
