I thought the entire purpose of bio-media was to allow beneficial ammonia and nitrite eating bacterium to grow on the surface while providing a constant flow of water through these beneficial bacteria. Cleaning it off wasn’t often advised right? I was always under the impression that it doesn’t filter stuff from the tank more so it “filters” ammonia/nitrite via the nitrogen cycle.

Don’t buy them! You might get hooked on collecting miniquariums like I did.. and they are too expensive to get hooked on! And you can’t even put anyone in them, they just sit there all being shmall and cute!

the only thing thats missing is pink dyed water

That tank would suit me just saying that pink is the same color as my giant heart and that pump i found like 10 guppies in my reservoir as i never plugged the hole that the duckbill outlet goes in when i came back from cleaning my sponges and hollow quartz balls so when you clean your filter pump be sure to block the outlet hole so you dont end up with curious little fishes its such a bother to catch them to put them fish friends back where they belong.
