06/08/2024 decided to take the vette to Kuhnle Motorsports out here in Ohio. Had a blast, got my wife to experience the drag strip as well. Best Run was 11.83 On Pump Gas 89 Octane, wasn't prepared or else would have gotten 91.

How about PPF? I have that on the front end of my C8..
That is the best thing you can do for protection from uv as well as from rock chips and scratches You still need paint correction before adding the pff But adding a ceramic coat even over your ppf will make maintenance washes much easier and make the color pop more

Mine is on order. It will be my first. ( bucket list item). I’m choosing not to drive it from New Hampshire to NY. I won’t feel comfortable first time in this car on a 4 hour trip. So I am left with a delivery in an enclosed truck. When they drop it off , I won’t know a thing about it . And this video was very informative . Would you know if every Chevy dealer has specific techs for corvettes?

You had it correct the first time using the word "flush". The flush is an internal one where the DCT fluid is completely pushed through the DCT filter prior to replacing the filter. This is why DIY DCT filter changes are not a good idea unless you have a scan tool at home that can initiate the flush. Rick Conti and Father Chuck have explained this many times. You want to make sure the dealer does the (internal) flush and not just replace the filter without doing it. Also, if I understand correctly, replacing the filter earlier than 7500 miles (by more than 500 miles) means it needs to be replaced again at 7500 miles.

Good to know, in addition to certified mechanics the service advisor is also a factor. I took my 2023 HTC to the certified dealership where I purchased the car (for MSRP) for it's first oil change at 2800 miles. Oil life had dropped below 20% so I requested an oil change and no other services. After 30 minutes or so I went back to the service advisor I had forgotten to mention I didn't want this submitted as my free initial service as I was saving that for the required transmission service at 7500 miles. To my dismay she had already submitted the ticket to GM for reimbursement and explained they would also cover the transmission service that I was getting but had not asked for. She said they schedule all C8 Corvettes for the transmission service on their first service regardless of mileage. Fortunately we were able to stop the transmission service as the mechanic had just begun the task and she was able to withdraw the request for reimbursement. Just my experience it pays to be knowledgeable of your Corvettes service requirements

What is a cold start? I dont understand the difference between dyarting the car up and acold start. Someone explain?
When the car is cold the cars computers usually start the car at a higher RPM and with components being cold it sounds a lot raspier than just a warm car. I hope that helps

Great, now that you have degreased the leather what did you do afterwards. Remember if you do not condition the leather it will DRY OUT and CRACK. You must NEVER remove the natural oils from leather without replacing them.

Yes mine are gt1, they are comfortable for me Ive done a 3 hour drive in one go and have spent over 8 hours in the car in one day, no fatigue no soreness. Keep in mind the bolster adjustments and lumbar support adjustments come with a 2LT and above For reference I am 5’11” 200 Lbs
Im 6 foot , 270 😬 , i think for me would be the gt1 , better choice. And also more room in a c8 convertible?

Congratulations on the Z06, I do like the Z06 Wheels offerings though. and they made it 20" and 21" which look great even on the Stingray. Nevertheless, be safe and make some noise with that wonderful sounding beast.

I am at order status 2000, so just accepted by GM, but zero deposit was asked of me. I ordered a '24 coupe, Riptide Blue Metallic, standard wheels, light grey interior. Options were an allocation imposed Z51, but I chose aero delete, mag ride, front lift, engine lights and the battery tender. I bet the 2025 price increase would have eaten a lot of the cost of the Z51 stuff I accepted - we'll see. Have my four piece radiator grills, lifting pucks, Torx sockets and drivers and ceramic brake shoes in the shopping cart. Still looking for a 9mm 10 point socket for the front brake caliper pin.

The 2024 C8 LT1 is, in my opinion, one of the most incredible values imaginable. It performs in a class with cars costing many times more than its mid 70k price tag. Its performance capabilities far surpass most of its owners driving abilities. I'm sorry but I find your criticisms, for the most part, petty. Fingerprints on the hood? Give me a break.
I am with you 100%, my whole point was GM heard what the customers wanted hence added the soft close, but it did not really change the original complaint. But you are correct, the car overall is a far better value than anything else on the market, looks, performance and tech everything is way beyond the price point. My whole point was the "Changes" was not talking about the overall car. Hence the "petty" criticism
I have done the Ceramic Spray by Washing the car and drying then Spray and wipe polishing with no water will last longer.
I think the life of the spray is 3-4 months I will try this next Thanks for the tip

This is very helpful. When you placed your order did you pay for it in full online or did you go to the dealer to work out financing/payment?
Im glad it helped, I wired $500 deposit to get in the line. Nothing more was paid until the car was ready for pickup I had my pre approval with me but the dealer forced me to go through them saying they dont accept out of state financing I kept their financing for a month then refinanced, I just made sure there was no early termination fee

I have the same experience with Extreme Online Store... will never buy from them again. I actually did not install any of their stuff as I felt it was too cheap and poorly made to be installed.
can you please explain how you manage to change cluster display sport in my mode and track in z mode? when I am trying to change for example sport display in my mode, the sport display shows up in every mode, same for track mode, shows up in every mode?
I am out of the country and away from my car this whole month But I will try to help you via messaging, so if you change your display design like here @4:27 it changes for all modes? What year is your car? I know earlier cars 20-22 models had a slightly different method to select this If you have an earlier model you will have to select these display design in the infotainment screen and not the gauge cluster. btw, you were in the service mode , so to get in the service you should of push start/stop button for more than 5 sec. am I correct?
also if you change display on any mode it will promote same display to all modes, unless you click on link to driving mode, so it get back to tour, sport and track displays and my mode in sport mode

Thanks for this, you did a great job! I’ve wanted to do a paint correction for a while but didn’t want to pay the sports car premium most detailers seem to quote. My 2020 is in rough shape on the front end so hopefully the compound can restore the beauty
Honestly, while I gained respect for the work detailers do at the same time its something that looks scary but very satisfying and easy to do. After doing it myself, I would highly recommend anyone to do it but with the right tools and knowledge from youtube channels like I mentioned (pan the organizer) Good luck!!
