Thank you for your rendition of a most beautiful song😢
It’s great that she isn’t trying to compete with Barbra
Chills!

Who’s here because of Schaffrillas Productions?
Back in the days of originality... and before everything on Broadway was about homosexuality or had a gay reference You could enjoy show tunes, go to musicals and not be mistaken for queer.
Bob Fosse was persuaded by David Sheehan to do this revival for cable TV (and VHS; later DVD). He didn't like it. Pieces were missing. And this is basically a road-company revival version (in Toronto, I believe) so it's not the same. And yet, it's very popular, because we have no other near-full-length Pippin recorded, with any cast of the era.
The Manson Trio remains as one of the most iconic dances in theatre history. The juxtaposition of gore and violence happening all around them gives this cheery by the books jazz step routine such a sinister feeling
Been listening to this since college! Ben Vereen has kept me on the right track!
She sings so beautiful her voice is so beautiful i love heather headly where is she
Wow! I have the OBC ! He is stunning!
Beautiful!!!! Also he articulates each word and his piano praying is beautiful too!!!
Fantastic performers. Love this musical.
Oh wow what a beautiful son- wait WAIT WAIT NOOOOOOO
I saw this version with the original cast. The whole show was amazing. I later saw Ben Vereen perform in the Philadelphia area a few years later. What an amazing dancer.
The talent is absolutely staggering. Ben Vereen is work of art!
I MELTED I DIED I LOST MY MIND
Brilliant Jewel. Never forgotten the incredible Miss Nell Carter .❤❤❤❤
This is 'THE' version for me, and this song deserves this performance🙂
Leslie Uggams--the Incomparable, the Inimitable!!
God Fosse was a genius! The way he understood the power of movement and how it can add power and passion to a story is amazing!
made me cry lol
She's excellent.🎙
I listen over and over... gorgeous.
I saw Davis Gaines perform in Palm Springs, it was a good show, but sadly he didn't sing this song. His ending here is purely magical.
A great voice... haunting and loving. This Hollywood Bowl tribute was incredible. Lacey is featured in The Grand Tour original cast recording.
Only six words are need for this performance, "It just DOESN'T get any better!!!" WOW!!!
He knows how to hold the mic. Most singers today hold it practically touching their lips.
My favorite phantom ❤️
Extraordinary!!!
Both Ben Vereen and William Katt starred in tv shows created by the late great Stephen J. Cannell. Ben was in Tenspeed and Brownshoe (1980) and Katt was in Greatest American Hero (1981).
You should check out William's acting careet...it is long, very long...6 decades and counting.
Ben Vereen was also "Chicken George" in the original "Roots" (Alex Haley's great-grandfather).
One of the greatest expressions of the blood lust that religion has always had for war.
As a straight man, long live the LGBTQ community!!!! Fuck who you want to FUCK!!!!
OMG you are wonderful
Bravo!
Woweeeeee
These lyrics are incredible, and Feinstein's delivery is incomparable. I've heard great renditions of this song, but nothing matches this.
I worked at the Cadillac Palace theater during the previews for Aida while in Chicago before going to Broadway. This has to be one of my favorite musicals. Only because I got to watch it every single night that I worked the show.
Saw this in August 2001, had no idea what to expect. The entire cast (Adam, Heather, and all the rest of the amazing singers) blew me away. Was a life altering show for me.
There is greatness, and then there is Leslie Uggams singing If He Walked Into My Life. I was lucky enough to meet her once and I got her to sign the sheet music to this song.
For exercise I usually do a ballet warm up, then something that Fosse choreographed, then stretch and sometimes do a second Fosse dance to a soundtrack of one of the something he directed and choreographed, like “I Gotcha.” 😅 This is why at age 44, with a torn labrum in my left hip I could still put one foot up on my doctors exam table, above my waist, while I had the other on the floor. I did that to show him that I thought I could do PT instead of surgery.
so talented
That's awesome.
Front row, Chicago try outs. Best musical I have ever seen. All original cast.
I love the way he sings .
He has a real theatrical voice. I hope he's sang on Broadway.
He was born to sing this song, sensational 😢
She starts slowly, takes her time and then builds it up till a climactic and dramatic end! What a stunning performance. We now know that this was probably one of the last (if not, the last) public performance by this gifted and wonderful performer. We also know how much this song meant to her both professionally and personally. She "lived" the song. Thats what made this performance so absolutely remarkable and amazing, and despite her ill health at that time. So much respect for her!
No one can touch her.
