I coined the name, Knee Crossover for that dance move. If you want to learn it I made an instructional video on how to do it. How much of a gap should be on the cylinder stop plunger on a taurus 627 357 magnum?asap
Can't comment on the 627 because I have never worked with one. As far as I know, there is no gap between the cylinder stop plunger and the cylinder stop. There is constant spring tension that is pushing the plunger against the stop. If you are talking about the play between the stop and the notches in the cylinder then there is no way to adjust that play unless you can find a slightly oversized stop width. I don't know if that option is available unless possibly having a gunsmith make you a custom stop. Do you have a lot of play movement between the stop and the cylinder notches? If so it could be due to just plain old wear and tear. I try to keep grease in those notches to slow down wear. All the revolvers I have had some play even when new. A perfect gun would be to have no play at all. A gun built to those kind of tolerances would be very expensive.
I can tell that your grandson thinks you’re the coolest person on earth!
It would be nice if he thinks that. I think he is a pretty cool grandson. That's why I have all that security stuff in my house. Protecting his and my life in case of a home invasion is more important to me than all the gold in Fort Nox. Thanks for your reply my friend!
Your bluing is hard to look at
Yes, it is worn. I use my gun a lot and practice often. It just gets worn off. I'm not a collector of items. I use what I buy. I'm even that way with cars. Have a couple of old cars that are classics. I use them. I have a high school buddy that paid $18000 for a 1969 Boss Mustang. It's been sitting in his garage for 30 years. What a waste. Thanks for your reply my friend.
Thanks Norm
You are very welcome. I try to cover things that Chilton and Haynes manuals don't.

Does the taurus g3c has a firing block too?
I don't know. I can only speak for the G2C which I have studied. Have never studied the G3C. I can't imagine Taurus not having a firing Pin block in the G3C though.
I thought rhubarb was red. That looks like celery my dude. Correct me if I'm wrong and why.
Rhubarb has red in it as well as green. I pulled that stalk a little early. It had some red in it. It definitely has the tart taste of Rhubarb. I have given it to people that have made Rhubarb pie. Don't eat the leafy part. It is toxic. I have also read to avoid Rhubarb if one has Osteoporosis ( deterioration of bones). Have a good one my friend.
I started out with the idea of displaying just the Transaxle at car shows. Then as time went on I said, Well, I could add the half-shafts, then I said Well, why not add the rotors and calipers, then I said, gotta display the struts, next was the steering column and rack & pinion tie-rods. Hell, man, I headed towards displaying a skeleton version of the entire damn car.
I built a skeleton cover for the Transaxle. You can't just take off the cover. I had to fabricate a way to hold the bearings and gears in place. That took 5 forty hour weeks just to do that. The rest of the winter was spent fighting rust to get parts off. Lot of work but had a lot of fun. Plan on doing it to the engine also. Learn some welding skills to do something like this.
Thanks for share Sir
You are welcome. Nothing more frustrating than having to remove something from a car and you can't because of hidden things. When I discover those hidden things I make a video.
See, Calculus isn't such a difficult subject. Don't be scared by all the cryptic symbols and scary terms. Just look for the simplicity in things. Find the simple core of something and gradually learn additional simple concepts attached to that core. This is something you instructors should be doing. Teach a simple core concept and build out from that. Don't leave that simple core until every student has it. Then add another simple concept to that core concept.
These spin index really come in handy for all sorts of applications in the shop. Everyone needs one in there machine shop. 👍
Yes, a spin index is very handy for many projects. Can even use it to make gears. You also might want to consider a rotary table that mounts to a milling machine. Can cut perfect holes in steel for bearing races with it. I got mine at Penn Tool. Thanks for the reply my friend.
I cant say what i did but this was my guide to successfully turning ny transmission from a manual to an automatic.
That wasn't my intention with the video. My intention is for people to have a full understanding of their guns. If you do do that be very careful and don't let anyone else shoot the gun that won't be expecting to be driving a car with an automatic transmission. I highly suggest to not do that, both for safety and legal reasons. Shoot safe my friend.
Bro I'm over here riding hydrogen electric with Auto pilot flying mode When I hit the button to flip it into a Tesla
There are many cryptic, strange and scary symbols in Calculus. It's the language of Calculus. Just learn what they are. Ask your instructor what they mean. Summation and infinity symbols shown in this video are two examples. Don't let them scare you.
Many of you that have never taken Calculus before may have used it without even knowing you did. If you ever measured the area of an odd shaped surface by adding up smaller and smaller areas within that surface...you used Calculus.
Delta means change. Thus, Delta X means a change in X. The change in X allows for the creation of a hypotenuse of a triangle to illustrate a secant line which intersects the function at two points. By reducing ∆X to infinity but not zero ( that will be another video) the secant line is reduced to a tangent line. A tangent line intersects the function at only one point. The slope of that tangent line is the rate of change at that point.
If you have a welder of some form run a small bead on the inside of the race. If you have a Tig works best. Once it cools it'll fall out
Thanks for the tip. I have to do it without damage because I'm going to reuse the bearing and race. I'm doing some experimental redesign of the cover where reinstalling the cover will be very easy. I'm a retired guy so I have time to play around.

The upper shroud or covers can be removed by using the key and a hook method to provide space to remove the cover without damaging the plastic cover. A-1 auto has a good video showing this process.
Thanks for the tip!
When I said you need an end-mill I meant to say a Milling Machine. When you make one-minute short videos you are rushed and make mistakes. Edit: I also meant to say attach the stock to the particle board and not the rotary table. The particle board is attached to the rotary table and the stock is bolted to the particle board. Also, when you side mill move only one axis, either x or y. Lock the axis you are not using to side mill. If you move the axis that you are not using you will lose your center axis and never get it back. If that happens then start all over.

For those that are curious, that is a manual Transaxle from a 1985 Ford Escort, 1.9 Litre engine.
My firing pin block is stuck dwn the button will not Come up so will dat make it not fire
Ohhhh...it will fire alright and maybe also when you don't want it to. I very highly suggest that you DO NOT CARRY THAT FIREARM CHAMBERED!!! That Firing Pin block is designed to keep the gun from firing when dropped and the sudden shock releases the Firing Pin from the Sear. By all means get that fixed. I'm assuming you are talking about a Taurus G2C.
Hey norm I have a question i took the Cylinder out to remove some dirt and debris and now it won’t stay locked on the gun any idea why? It will function and all just if I angle it downwards while loading the cylinder will just slip out I still have all the pieces including the spring and screw that’s supposed to hold it in
The retainer screw is what holds the cylinder's yoke in. Check to make sure the screw's spring loaded pin isn't stuck into the screw because of dirt. Another possibility is the very small spring that is supposed to be in the retainer screw is missing. Without the spring the pin won't engage with the notch in the yoke shaft resulting in the yoke just falling out. Another possibility is the notch in the yoke shaft has so much carbon and dirt in it that there is in effect no notch. Let me know what you find.
@@normtheteacher5485 I’m missing the pin and spring for the yoke screw thank you so much norm learned so much from ur videos gonna keep on watching for more knowledge
@@pokepacks6057 The pin and spring are very small... especially the spring. Very easy to lose. I pack the inside of the screw with grease. The grease holds the pin and screw in so they don't fall out upon disassembly.
@@normtheteacher5485 I had thought I brought them with my on the trip I took I took apart the gun and brought it with me on a trip but it had to be i pieces so I’m guessing those are somewhere back at my house will pneumatic grease work or should I look for some specific for guns
@@pokepacks6057 any type of tacky grease will work such as axel grease. It isn't being used to lubricate anything. The grease is just being used to hold those small parts in the screw until you decide to pull them out by hand rather than having them fall out when your not looking. I use axel grease or Marine grease.
The NRA has backed radical gun control for almost the last century, don't support them.
Why do you think that when the NRA has been in numerous court cases defending the 2nd amendment? Also, if the NRA is for gun control, why does the anti-gun leftists hate the NRA so much?
we all need this set up to protect us from liberals.
I set it up to protect me from Criminals in general Liberal or Conservative. With this setup, every night I lay my head on my pillow saying...'Im not going to be taken by surprise'. The home invader is in for a big surprise. It's a good feeling. Well worth the work and money I have put into it. Thanks for watching!
Remove that shameful hat instead would of been a better video. #FPC
Your not the first NRA (National Rifle Association) hater that has replied. I always define abbreviations in my documents, as one is supposed to do. Why do you hate the NRA so much? They do a lot to preserve our right to own and carry weapons which has saved many innocent lives. Do you carry a firearm? Also, I have no idea what #FPC means.
😔 Promo-SM
I have no idea what Promo-SM means, so I will take it as a compliment. Thanks.
You lost me at the NRA hat lmao
What does IMAO stand for? I don't know many abbreviations and define them when I do use them. The NRA(National Rifle Association) is a great organization. They promote gun safety. They train on gun usage. They fight in court to preserve our great 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. Why are you against all that out of curiosity?
@@normtheteacher5485 lmao stands for “laughing my ass off.” NRA has a terrible record of supporting the 2A and its proponents and is generally considered by this generation as a scam and a grift.
Please take that NRA hat off before you lose any credibility you have.

@@normtheteacher5485 what have they done lately?
@@jamesegsmith one thing the NRA has accomplished is to get the Supreme Court to hear the case of NRA vs Maria Vullo. Vullo was the former head of New York's Department of Financial Services. She used her position to try to turn banks against the NRA to the point where the NRA wouldn't be able to collect membership dues and write checks. Basically trying to strong-arm the NRA out of business. If the government could do this to the NRA then they could do it to any business they didn't like. This is one of many cases the NRA has been fighting.
Cleaning build up from the firing pin and spring is probably the easiest maintenance that many people forget/skip/ignore, but you may have to send the pin and spring across the room once to learn how to do it correctly. ;)
Right. That's the reason I made a special Tool to cover the Firing Pin while the Firing Pin Stop is being pushed out.
Whiskey bottles and .45. Hmmm
Thanks. Tomorrow's short video will explain the Firing Pin Stop a little more.

Hello Man.

Thank you for educating the kids. This is really helpful and easy to understand
Yes. With so many households arming up I don't want to see one single kid get hurt.
That would be terrible
Why do you need brass for your special tool and not any other type of metal?
Because Brass is softer than Steel and doesn't mar up the gun. On the end of that tool one can see where the gun is wearing at the tool but the tool is not wearing the gun. I take my guns apart very frequently.
That’s very interesting, thanks
@@theanimekid149 You are very welcome.
Great work
Thank you. Will be making many more videos to help people out. Now that I am almost done field Stripping and reassembly of the 1911, I will be doing a short video per day showing each step of disassembly of the frame of the gun. This will be going beyond field Stripping of the gun and will constitute a complete disassembly.
In a week or 2 I'll have this gun back together.
Yes. That's funny. While creating the playlist it would be a week. At least after the playlist is created viewers will be able to watch the videos in their numerical sequence without having to wait for the next day's video. I like using these shorts because they upload in about an hour. I used to do long videos like 15 minutes or so. Those videos would take three full days to upload. I do everything from my phone, so that may be part of the delay.
Waited for the punchline. Dude didnt deliver, guess buying a charles daly anything is the joke
The Charles Daly has been great. 1/3rd the price of the name brands and has been functioning just as well as the name brands. The joke is probably with those that pay 3 times as much but don't get 3 times the product. Have shot it a lot and been very happy with it.
Please please please go on a dating site and get a woman in your life. Just don't show her your videos.

love the shorts man, unfortunately I live in the UK so I dont have a gun, but it's fun learning how to take them apart and how they work, keep up the good work :)
Thanks. The UK, Australia, Canada and others that protect criminals irritate me very much. They leave their citizens defenseless against criminal attack, yet the dictators themselves are surrounded by gun carrying guards. I would like to see you citizens rise up and demand the right to carry weapons. Thanks for watching and learning about guns. Maybe someday you will become a United States citizen and your gun knowledge will be handy when purchasing your first gun.
