Miko is really talented, and I understand that setting her up as a Su doppleganger gets her some early attention, but IMO the sooner she can start doing her own thing without the BABYMETAL outfit, the better.

Miko isn't supposed to sound like Su, their voices are very different (although I think Miko's voice sound super compressed in the audio mix for this video, and not in a good way). Miko's voice is more husky and less piercing. It suits a more jazz style, which this swing number seems to be aiming for.

I don't hear her voice sounding like sue the only thing that is similar to baby metal are the outfits except the color even the songs are diff metalverse has more of a jazz sound

I‘m totally falling for the kawaii element. There‘s nothing that makes me happier than watching these young Japanese girls smile. Some may find it creepy, but there‘s nothing wrong with it, and I don‘t care.

it seems like the producers of this group are trying to catch that same lightning in a bottle as was done with BabyMetal. But I suspect when something as successful as that happens, it always requires a large dose of luck and it can't only be willed into being. KobaMetal is a rare talent in production, but he could not have known when first recruiting Su, Moa, Yui, and the Kami Band, that they'd be THAT good. Surely he hoped, but only time would tell. This production is long on willpower but short on luck, so far.

My impressions: Lead singer has a more full voice than Su did at her age. The ‘dancing’ is more cheerleading style than dance. That should change over time and experience. And yeah, hard to tell about the choreo overall due to the editing. Always feel bad when you are asked to watch a video SPECIFICALLY for choreography opinions and there just isn’t anything to see. 🫣 Side note: don’t know what it is with CZcams, but for some reason it has me unfollowing pages at random. Yours is one of them. Argh!

I think the choreographer is from ELEVENPLAY (Mikiko's dance group).

When they were starting there were some speculation about if the choreographer was Yui, that Yui yeah, but it seems it's just fans coping. I've seen somewhere where _mikiko_ has been credited too. The singer, miko, must sound like Su because they have the exact same training. Both miko and suzuka were the best singers in their generation at the ASH school in Hiroshima, both got a central role later as singers in Sakura Gakuin (they even gave miko the same lines Su had had...). They sound a bit different tho, Su's voice is more piercing, miko has more grit. And on looking too similar to Babymetal I just think they are using Babymetal to help them take off. Once they are on their own I guess they'll change their aesthetic and everything. The team making the music is the same as Babymetal too, but the style they are going for the music seem to have another drive, more poppy and less leaning into the metal.

I think they were cool when they were a mirror of BabyMetal the two times they used them. I just wish amuse would show more, live videos or MV, anything really.

I’m not a big fan of metalverse. It doesn’t feel like metal. It’s doesn’t feel like Kawaii metal to me. It is more like a J Pop group. I am waiting for more music so I can make a better judgement on them.

de hecho uno de los problemas del por que muchas personas se quejaron de ese video "oficial" es por que el director por alguna razon se centro mas en la vocalista principal y casi no se vio la coreografía , si buscas metalverse en el summer sonic , ese video incluso creo que tiene muchas mas visitas que el video oficial ,por que la canción y la coreografía son buenas ,pero en el oficial se centraron nada mas en enfocar a la vocalista principal, eso fue un gran fallo. desde mi punto de vista fue un grave error, por que la canción es buena, el ritmo también y la coreográfica también ,pero esos enfoques de cámara son horribles. pareciera que esta vendiendo a la vocalista principal cuando mas bien son un grupo.

I could hear a lot of similarities on Karate and DDM when she singing like Su, probably because she's from Hiroshima too. But when she do high notes and on this one you can hear there's big difference, and her voice isn't as powerful/piercing as Su too. Lastly her stage presence is a mix of Su and Moa, has the little mischievous of Moa and the confidence of Su.

Miko naturally sounds like Su, because she went through the same path as Su in her training. Actors School of Hiroshima and Sakura Gakuin, and for Miko she has admired Su all her life.

Four-fifths of the Metalverse were part of Sakura Gakuin, the last two years before it closed (Yagi Miki moved there in the last year of Momometal, the others later), so they will be beloved daughters, whatever they do! Thanks for the reaction!

Good reaction. They were introduced as a Babymetal alternate and the costumes are very similar in design, but I think that is where the similarities are going to end. Miko's vocal range is not going to be like Su's, nor should it. Miko and Metalverse will be different and should stand on their own. But that will be up to Koba.

I like her voice, shes a great singer, but they should have made them more different in style and band-name!

This one's not too bad, but I did prefer the live when I saw them do 3 tracks - with what looked like the kami band supporting them. I don't think she's even trying to sound like Su really, she has a great voice (well I like it surprisingly) but very different. Tbh I loved them best when mirroring with Babymetal in "Doki Doki Morning". Good reaction anyway of course.

Patintero is an outdoor game we used to play as kids. The dance steps, especially the extended arms are taken from the game. The song is a metaphor for the game called life.

They normally wear a very casual and swag outfit with crinzone but this event is a festival so they decided to go a bit formal but yeah, 100% agree with you it more comfortable to move around with less restrictive clothings.

Thank you fiance. When they cover their mouths they are actually pretending to hold a microphone. If you listen again you can hear all three voices change to a play by play commentator type voice. In the lyrics they're talking to the guy who invited them but when they change voice they're not talking but they are thinking to themselves. The play by play are their thoughts.

Hi Xiaouiris! It's been a bit since you've done a BM video! Or maybe I just missed the notification! Just wanted to request you react to From Dusk Till Dawn by Babymetal. I'd be interested in see your reaction. Especially in light of the fact you said in this video that she hits these high notes like they are nothing. In From Dusk Till Dawn, you get to really appreciate her vocal range and just how high she can actually hit. While it isn't one of their newest songs, it isn't particularity old either. Momo does perform in it, but doesn't sing, so she's just an Avenger at that time. Anyhow, the best version to react to would be the Budokan 2021 Live version. It's a rare song as they have only performed the song a couple of times. It also happens to be one of my favorite Babymetal songs, right up there with Shine, and Monochrome.
